  2. from personal experience with my alpine x, white wire made no difference and derestricting in LCD did nothing either. I hooked up a new controller and restriction came off that way.
  3. I'm setting up a new controller and need to enter in the amount of speed magnets, how many is normal on an 8fun 250w 36v motor
  4. Is 21ah the highest 36v there?
  5. Does anyone have any experience with batteries like these? I'm looking for a big battery for my bike (20ah+) and these seem to be priced a bit too well. Also please let me know where you got your battery if you have a large capacity one. Many thanks
  6. Hello, I've been reading through some other threads and haven't had much luck using the display to derestrict my bike. This is the display that I'm currently using. Was just interested if I could just replace the display to derestrict or whether I would have to replace the controller too, I am open to either option. My only concern is that my display has a male end, whereas all the other ones I can find online are female. Any help is appreciated.
  7. So update, I took apart the motor assembly, took the motor out and in one of the teeth of the bearing wheel was some kind of screw, got it out with a hammer and a screwdriver and now running fine. Wouldn't recommend this type of repair but it worked for me.
  8. Hello, having an issue with my Volt Alpine X, seem to have a clicking noise when using the motor, happens when riding, and lifting up the rear wheel and using the throttle. If I rock it forwards and backwards I can feel it bump over something in the hub. Any help is appreciated, spoke to a Volt rep and he told me to bring it in but it's gonna be hard for me to spend the next week without a bike.
  9. Thanks, will try that, came here because I've been having issues with getting any response from Volt about a speedometer issue.
  10. Hi all, I'm currently using a Volt Alpine X, which has a controller similar to the King Meter KM5S, I've been using a manual found online to adjust some of the settings, I reset the controller while doing this and when riding I find that the PAS only works on the lower gears, and up to a certain speed. In the PAS settings is a setting which has "n-" and then a value between 0 and 255. Does anyone know what this value is and if it's related to the PAS issues I've been having. It's not in the manual and I can get a photo of it if needed. Many thanks
