Hello I had to take it back to Halfords. As you need to take the pedal crank off to get at the bolts. So sorry know idea off key size. They done it for free but, as bike was only new.

Your putting me to shame iv done less than half your mileage. How long have you had the bike. I only got mine from end of January. So with bad weather not getting out as much as I would like.

Yes iv had loads of motorcycles in my day Yamaha R1 CBRs the lot. Nothing beats the ebike feeling. Getting to see things now that I would normal fly by. And its keeping me fitter. Love it.

Just done a quick search for that badass dongal. Its way to much @ £140 I would just move the magnet before I would pay that, Does the same job. See you tube clip. On my bike with the bosch active plus. Its easy to fit speed box 2, and cost less. Don’t even have to remove peddle crank as you can get access, by just removing two screws from cover. What do you mean by dongle ? The speed box 2 is a easy fit on the crossfuse, only two screws to remove 5 min job. Can be turned on and off by walk button, and does not affect Speedo mph or kph. When you say dongal are you talking about the magnet and sensor being moved ?

I read somewhere also that bosch had introduced changes to stop this. But I put one in a new 2019 bosch active line plus motor with know problems.

Yes In Northern Ireland The law is outdated. They are waiting for the Northern Ireland executive to sign the document to put in in line with the rest of the UK. However because they cant agree on anything . They are not in government, and cant sign it. So in NI you have to have it tax insured. Display a full size number plate on your bike. Full motorcycle gear helmet the lot. And your not allowed to ride it on paths or cycle lines. You have to ride in with the ordinary traffic cars bus lorries etc. Really ! Apparently so. Just to see if this is possible. I phoned the DVLA and they need a insurance document to register it . And the insurance company said they need a registration number to insure it. Not frame number. So it catch 22 cant be done.

Hello guys you can just see the bolts. If you look down from the battery key side and turn the crank. I count 4 flat headed round bolts. One on each of the four crank arms. Here you can see two off them in photo.

Yes I hope he did. I did say to him when I came back in to collect it. Did you check the other bolts as well. (Yeah he said) But for some reason the way he said it. I don’t believe him. Time well tell.

Not sure how many the Halfords guy just said he check the others and put on some thread lock. So I don't aspect this to happen again.

Its only done 50 miles. You will be okay. If theres a faulty one I get it

Only have this Carrera Crossfuse three weeks today. After my first good ride because of weather . Was about a mile from home when a squeaking noise started to come form pedal crank. I feared the worst. Thinking it had done in a bearing. Anyway took it to Halford and the guys was very quick to spot that a bolt had come loose, from the crank chain ring. This was rubbing on the guard . He had to remove the pedal crank to tighten it and put some blue thread locker on the bolts. Job done. Still pleased with the bike. But if there going to be a fault ill get it. WHY me! Now when I think about it, when I was reading all I could about this Bike, I did come across tread . But cant find it now, where some other guy had this bolt come loose. So looks like its not a one off. Thing is you cant check them as there behind that black guard.

I cant say how it compares to a Crossfire on hills, But I was out testing my new Confuse this week. It went up hills know problem. Some of which, I struggled to get up on my old none electric hybrid bike . The motor is so quite on this Confuse also.

You will love it Zak had mine a week now love it. Oh cycle republic end there offer this Sunday So I guess Halfords will also.

Yep £1280 at this time. And if you got a British Cycling membership another 10% of the price. Had to buy it. You wont find a better spec bike anywhere at that money.

Hi all new to Ebikes . had to buy one that I have been looking at now for some time. Halfords over night reduced it, The Carrera Crossfuse to £1280 And with my British cycling discount got it for £1150 that has to be the best price for a mid motor bike . Less than the crossfire. And only 155 more than a Gtech Ebike.
