  1. Sorry for the wrong date in my earlier posting. It was today at 11:00. For more details: https://www.emtb-news.de/news/en/ Which brands will come up with a new CX engine and batteries will probably be made visible in this thread (German thread). One brand has already released information about a new model. https://www.pedelecforum.de/forum/index.php?threads/e-mtbs-mit-neuem-bosch-cx-mj2020.64101/ A bit surprising is that the new Bosch CX continues with 75Nm when Flyon and Sachs have significantly more powerful engines. Sachs (110Nm)
  2. I'm following a German forum about this. They say that Bosch will release more detailed information June 16. If you are considering a Haibike with Bosch CX motor I would wait until that date just to see what they say about it. I will try remember and post here what Bosch release that day.
  3. If the new motor and battery is showing up on nodels this fall, time will show. https://electrek.co/2019/05/28/bosch-2020-mid-drive-ebike-motor-and-batteries/ What I would like to see also, and not only from Bosch, is that they build in wifi on new chargers and add the possibillty in the bikes app or a charger app to control when to charge and how many percent of the battery capacity. I would beleive that it's not any large technical challenges doing that, only the producers will to use well known technology.
  4. With Nyon and E-conncect and the default custom ride modes you can see the powercurves. Eco= 80%, Tour=155%, Sport=235% and Turbo=310%. As you can see the support goes down at 19 km/h. I've been experiencing with the custom modes on the same route but have gone back to default values. The route is 67 km on mostly gravel roads with a total climb of approx. 1000 meters. What you put in yourself is of course decisive for the range, in my case mostly in Eco and Tour mode. But DON'T forget the cadence, instead of choosing a higher support mode. As the curve below shows, as with my Bosch CX, the sweet spot is between 80-90. For some that is very high, as for mee too at 60 years. But I'm trying not to fall below 75. My experience on the route is that low cadence on higher support modes increase the power consumption.
  5. My Nyon-GPS is today more than 200 miles away from my actual position, in the middle of the ocean between Sweden and Finland. I'm in Oslo, Norway. Two days ago the GPS position on the Nyon was normal. Is the problem GPS Weekly Number Rollover (WNRO) and that Bosch have overseen this? https://www.suasnews.com/2019/03/topcon-get-ready-for-gps-week-number-rollover-wnro/ My Nyon has the latest version 2.7.5.0.
  6. The two screws on the adapter plate with Torx T30 with 8-10 Nm. The 3 nuts on the motor screws SW13 to 25-30 Nm. Cover, Torx T20 1 Nm.
  7. In the German pedelc forum it has been some discussion about firmware PowerPack: 1.8.0.0, Drive Unit: 1.8.0.0 and Drive Unit: 1.8.3.0. The discussion has been about the range calculactions and Bosch confirms that here has been changes. If you read theese threads there are more info. Some says that Drive Unit: 1.8.3.0 has been withdrawned. But as you can see it's till on the Bosch overview. https://www.pedelecforum.de/forum/index.php?threads/nach-bosch-update-weniger-reichweite.61658/ https://www.pedelecforum.de/forum/index.php?threads/performance-cx-software-versionen-f%C3%BCr-motor-und-akku.26850/page-18 I'm hesitating upgrading to 1.8.X.X before before more clarifacation of what this actually means.
  8. I know, but they give you just some of the info and you need Nyon or Kiox. What I'm pointing out is the app potentital. The closed thing is the Cobi but I can't see they have made much of it.
  9. I wish Bosch could use the potential of information that can be extracted from their systems and combine it into an app. Here's the Speedbox2-B app that shows some of the information they extract and combine into useful information. The app can be installed on your own phone and a demo can be run. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speedbox.app&pcampaignid=MKT-Other-global-all-co-prtnr-py-PartBadge-Mar2515-1 https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/speedbox-app/id1404769262?mt=8
  10. I wouldn't be concerned about that. The box itself is probably molded in plastic and should be waterproof. The braiding is protection against rubbing of the cable itself. And the skidplate is not a motor cover but meant for protection from rocks and hard hits. What you could do is to tape or use some fishing line to prevent the braiding to stay in place and not "unwind". Still, since I don't have E-connect myself, I wonder where do the cable exit the motor and how is that protected?
  11. I found the download link here: https://www.pedelecforum.de/forum/index.php?threads/performance-diagnosetool-ibd-intuvia-oder-nyon-f%C3%BCr-sw-updates-und-fehlersuche.27232/page-6 The program is useless without a dongle and I don't have one. The program can be installed, with an error under installation. The program start though and ask you to insert the dongle. The manuals are extraced in folder C:\ProgramData\eBikeApp\manuals
  12. I read somewhere that someone regret getting the eMTB-mode and other that didn't get it. As the manual shows the eMTB and Sport mode is a choice that can be made before programming. It all depens of what container (configuration file) is loaded. User Manual OEM eng.pdf
  13. Ohh, how I envy you the Supercharger I'm drooling on the same bike, dual battery with Nyon, into the gravel forest road with a tent and a fishing rod. Sadly the price is a bit high. In Norway, converted to GBP- 6835. But should it become a reality, what size did you choose, with your height and inseam length?
  14. Been there, done that. I'm 6'2" with an inseam of 35" and bought a 21" MTB frame a few years ago. That after a short test and trip outside the shop. But I never got used to it and didn't feel comfortable with the size and replaced the bike with a 19" after a while. For me that was the correct size. My hybrid-bike is 21" and have no problem with that frame. You say you are 5'11", with an inseam of 34.5". I beleive you have very long legs?
  15. Could someone identify what freehub is used on this Formula hub? The freehub is 11-speed and is unmarked. After the last very hot summer with very dusty gravel roads I don't like the sound of the freehub. I've twice tried to get some answer for Formula support but they don't respond to my reguest. My dealer don't have a clue and Haibike says that I have to contact the dealer. The dealer contacted Haibike but doesn't get any answer. So what 11-speed freehub would fit this hub, DC-22LW?
  16. That has to do with your bike riding style, not the dongle. As you may have discovered the range is calculated based on how you ride over time. With many short trips, many stops and starts the calculated range goes down. If you then ride longer and smoother trips the calculated range will increase again.
  17. I can't understand your statement. I have a Haibike Sduro Cross 7.0 (CX-motor) with a Speedbox 2 dongle. The dongle doesn't effect the range. The Intuvia screen doesn't change estimated range whether the dongle is on or off. And of course it shouldn't because the dongles doesn't change the torque in any way, only the 25 km/h speed limit. I have several trips of 70-75 km on very rugged and hilly forest roads with one Powerpack 500 and still with some km left. (1 LED) What matters for maximum range is: 1. The mode. On these trips I try to use the Tour-mode as mutch a possible but need both Sport and the Turbo-mode on the steapest hills. 2. Optimal gear shifts. (Many do gear down to late before hills and with to low cadence before and up the hill) 3. Cadence 4. And of course, the power in your legs.(I'm 60 so my power is not what it was) If your dongle gives you only half of the normal range something must be wrong. Btw. Speedbox has a new version, Speedbox 2/B which has an bluetooth app that gives you many live data parameters. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speedbox.app&hl=en The sad part is that I think the B-version it's very expensive. But the data it shows is very interesting, and many of the parameteres would be nice showing up on Bosch displays on their ebikes in the future.
