  1. Hi yes it does have an LCD display. I'll take some pictures tonight and add them here. If I were to put a switch between the LCD display, what would happen to the current switch? Would I need to solder those together?
  2. So I currently converted my bike with a 1500W motor and have a battery that is 52V 20Ah. The controller came with a switch which has been working just fine. The only thing I'm worried about is security. It has an on/off button and an up and down arrow to be able to adjust the pedal assist/many other options. Any one could come over and turn it on if they wanted. I was wondering if I can remove this switch and place something in the same cabling that has a key on it? I'm new to electronics and I'm not sure if I can place any old switch or what. And I'm not sure what how the up and down buttons work/how to find a switch that is compatible with these? If you have any advice that would be great!
  3. Hello, i've just built my first ebike. It has a 1500W 48V motor and a 52V 20AH Battery. I've been able to reach almost 35mph. The brakes have magnetic sensors on each of them so the motor cuts out. I've just installed torque arms on the rear (not on this picture) and I keep the controller in the bag on the rack. So can you think of anyways you'd improve this? Secondly, I kind of regret getting the battery I did as it's difficult to take off and reattach every time I go somewhere. It's heavy and difficult with the velcro straps. So I wanted to improve this somehow. In an ideal world I'd just keep it on there at all times but obviously there's a security concern with that. Do you have any ideas as to how I could improve this situation? I was thinking maybe a battery box of some sort I could custom build? But i'm not sure how that would work. Would love any feedback, positive or negative! Thank you people of this forum.
  4. Hi, Goos idea and I would do that but it's a triangle battery that sits in the triangle bit of the frame and I want to be able to remove it. If I were to just solder some cable through I would not be able to remove it unfortunately. Thank though
  5. Hello, I just got my battery for my first build and was very excited to get it up and running but unfortunately the connector from the controller doesn't match the battery connectors. Another thing is that the wire is too short to even reach the connector anyway. I think I have two options which is to either find some extension cable or have to solder some wire in between. Only thing is I have no idea what the two connectors actually are. I've attached some pictures as you might be able to recognise them. I would appreciate it if you could give me some advice as to what to do! Thank you
  6. Hello all, this is the first ebike i'm building and need some advice (this bike is meant for off road purposes). First i'll tell you the parts I have/have bought and are on the way. Donor bike: Is a Giant Talon 3 2018 in good condition Motor kit: Rear hub 1500W 48V motor Battery: 52V 20Ah So I have a few questions, mainly about the brakes. The donor bike I have has Hydraulic disc brakes. In the kit it comes with new brake leavers for motor cut out (but only for cable brakes). Therefore, I've seen you can get a magnet sensor you put on the brake leaver that works in the same way. Would it matter which one I get? Are they all compatible with the controllers? Also can anyone link me where I can get one in the UK? I was also wondering about how I remove the disc brake from my current bike to put on the new motor wheel. Is it simple or do I need specialist tools? Also do you think this is a good setup in general for just having some fun, nothing too serious? Thank you for any help
