  3. Carrera Crossfire Battery (Almost New) Selling a Carrera “Crossfire” battery that I bought in May, with a view to carrying it as a spare and completing longer distance rides. However, the advent of Coronavirus and Lockdown means that I cannot now use hotels and B&Bs that were my en-route stops and so I have now sold the bike. The buyer did not want an extra battery and hence it is now for sale. Only used a couple of times and for an absolute maximum of 50 miles. Comes complete with holder, keys and new charger. Dispatched by courier with tracking and 24 hour delivery (Yes, I have checked that they will carry a Li-ion battery). £200 to include delivery
  4. I've just purchased a false crossbar from MaxxRaxx, which has a maximum load weight of 25kg - one of the highest I could find. It's called the AUX X-Bar and is priced at £21.50. I am impressed with the build quality and ease of use, together with how quickly I received it after ordering by phone.
  5. Of late my Carrera Crossfire does not seem to give the same amount of assistance that it originally did. And at times the bars on the indicator showing the amount of battery drain show nothing at all, when I would otherwise expect them to do so, Do these symptoms sound like a problem with the torque sensor?
  6. I certainly will. That's the least I can do after the help that the forum has given me.
  7. Thank you all for your inputs. The Cube Town Hybrid One 400 has turned out to be the solution.
  8. Good idea. But I'm sure it would create an even bigger problem!!
  9. Thank you "old fart" and "sjtp". Both very helpful. I would be prepared to pay up to £2000 to get the right bike, but the Cube Town Hybrid One looks to be a very good option to start with.
  10. I am having great difficulty finding a suitable elkectric bike for my wife, due to some restrictive criteria that has to be met. My wife is 165cm in height and 75 years of age. The specifications that have to be met are: Step-through gap to be as wide as possible Battery NOT to be fitted on rack i.e.to be on the down-tube or seat-tube Gears to be operated by twist grip. Can anyone recommend a model that will mneet these requirements
  11. Yes, and I should have posted this earlier. I ordered the battery from their Berlin outlet and it was delivered by DPD in about 4 working days after the order; there was no customs duty involved. The package came with a new battery holder and wiring, new charger, battery and keys. Everything was identical to the existing fittings, even to the extent that the new keys worked with the old holder. So all components are identical to the original and interchangeable. I am referring of course to my Halford's Carrera Crossfire ebike.
  12. Thank you Nealh and Whoosh Regards Mike
  13. Is anyone able to tell me whether or not the Yose Power battery shown on the following link, is compatible with a Carrera Crossfire E.. They look identical but I know that doesn't guarantee compatability https://www.yosepower.com/en/product/Downtube-36V11.6Ah%28429Wh%29-Lithium-E-Bike-Battery-for-Phylion%2FSF-06%2CJOYCUBE%2FJCEB360-11.6-202.html
