  1. Good luck Graham, my friend has had several serious knee operations and had to retire early, thats why I avised you not to use a torque mid motor. These guys now giving you advice are very knowledgeable.
  2. Huge Spanish bike company Orbea agree with vfr, rear motor on their road model. He is probably the tech guy for them!
  3. As an asthma sufferer I shouldn't have bought the diesel really. I believe Volvo will be the first major manufacturer to totally move away from petrol, diesel.
  4. Toyota have pulled out of the diesel super mini class in the uk. When they sold the last of the yaris diesels I purchased one for my business, under ten grand.
  5. Yes I would use shim to make the throttle fit the handlebars, a couple of my bikes are carbon hybrids. I use any rack availble to fit any battery, I use five batteries and am making another now, also on each bike I run 36v and 48v . I feel that on any kit you have to make comprises, the ready made bikes also.
  6. Hands on top, just noticed your leg problem, if you go for mid motor use one as indicated by SW postings bbs, the other types is torque harder pressure needed, battery rear rack , no problem all my kits are now.
  7. Yes the front hub would work fine as well as the respected Woosh kits check out yosepower , big information on here about them , but please note that it is the front hub that is 250w the rear is 350w.
  8. Hi , I run all three types mentioned above, front , rear and mid motor , if you can advise on your aims ie lots of power etc , or road legal 250w the guys on here can point you in the right direction.
  9. I would run the bbs for a bit. I think you will enjoy it , if not a lot of the other guys just re programme it .
  10. I have done over 3500 miles on my bbs01b using the original supplied equipment, I just stop peddling on gear change. Have you considered trying to up the power of your front hub ? I run my 250w front at 48v and 28 amps, 24 mph top speed, however ensure forks are strong. When your warranties run out on bbs01b you can run that at 48v.
  11. Nice and neat installation, looks compact compared to a lot of mid motors.
  12. The swop is quite easy, there are a few examples on YouTube the only difference is using the 48volt 750w to replace the 36volt. The bike becomes a very fast machine indeed with a nice cadence, I will build my next bike instead using a cheap component to trick the lcd into thinking it at 36v. This avoids the need for a new controller, same bbs01b. Have three bikes all over volted so will wait till end of summer.
  13. Very good price compared to the bbbs , and also lots of info from ES site if you want a bit more power, I run my bbs01b at 48v using a replacement controller but dont use the extra power , so this option is well worth considering.
  14. Is it possible to position the battery to a better more balanced location? I found the old panda ebike company fine to deal with.
