  1. I would be very grateful for help and advice please. I am keen ebike rider and am on to my second ebike a Cube Kathmandu. Sadly I suffered a Subarachnoid Haemorrhage in September 2022. The Haemorrhage has let me with mild left hand weakness, balance issues, and unsteady walking. I am very keen to get on the bike again and adult stabilisers have been suggested. Does anybody have any experience of using stabilisers, are there any pitfalls, and can they recommend a make. Many Thanks
  2. Hi I have a new Cube Kathmandu Pro. Would be grateful if somebody could tell what the air pressure should be in the front forks please in PSI or Bar measurement. The bike use for leisure riding on roads/tracks only. Many thanks
  3. Hi there I have a 2022 Cube Kathmandu Pro - just having issues with what air pressure is needed for the front forks in PSI or bar? Bike is being used for mainly leisure cycling roads and cycle paths. Thanks
  4. Hi Just lost the Air knob on from the forks on my brand new Cube Kathmandu Pro (X-Fusion 32mm forks) . Does anyone know where I can get a replacement in the UK. The carriage charges on Ebay are prohibiting from USA. Thanks
  5. Thinking of buying Halford’s Advanced Ebike helmet @ £50. It meets the EU current safety standards for Ebike helmets & has a fidlock buckle etc. It does not come with MIPS. I am a leisure cyclist mostly urban use or or cycle track riding. Has anyone got experience of this helmet? Thanks
  6. I am looking for some advice re: handlebars. I have recently bought a Cube Kathmandu 625 Pro and after my first 17mile outing I found the tops of my upper arms and shoulders beginning to hurt. I think I do need to thing about sweepback handlebars does anyone have any recommendations? I have been looking at the Bontrager Cravit handlebar. I am very much a leisure cyclist - road and cycle tracks but enjoy doing 30/40 mile trips and tend to cycle in an upright position. Thanks
  7. I am thinking of buying this bike but cannot find any reviews. Does anybody have any experience of them. I know it has hub gears - that is why I want to by it. I enjoy the simplicity of hub gears.
  8. I would be grateful for recommendations for a chain for a 8 speed hub geared ebike - Raleigh Centros. Thanks
  9. Enclose are photographs of my new kickstand fixed on the right hand side of my bike. Seems to do the trick! Thanks to all concerned.Untitled 35-2.pdf
  10. Rare and expensive! Will post a picture once fitted.
  11. Hi Many thanks for this - I have ordered the Hebie from Rosebikes. Fingers crossed it will do the trick. Jane
  12. Hi Andy Thanks again for your help. I cannot place the kickstand where you suggest as the mudguard is attached there and wiring for the rear lights. I have ordered the Hebie stand as suggested by Dewey. Thanks again and I too have had problems trying to post actual photographs on the site. Best wishes and importantly stay well!
  13. Thanks Andy, there is no room for a central stand because of the motor. Jane
  14. I have had my bike (Raleigh Centros with hub gears) for over a year now and covered over 1300 miles to my delight! However I have a problem - despite being right handed I ride my bike in a left handed way eg mounting and dismounting, it is a habit of a lifetime and I have never really noticed it until now on the ebike. The real issue is the kickstand which is on the wrong side for me, I have to lean over the bike to release the kickstand manually. To release it using my feet means coming round the wrong side (for me) and then trying to steady the bike to come round to mount on the best side for me. Being an ebike it is heavy and quite an awkward manoeuvre risking toppling the bike. I have tried mounting from the left hand side of the bike but I feel really unsteady doing this and I am 65 so my balance is not what it once was! Does anyone have any suggestions regarding kickstands? I enclose a picture of the rear axel of the bike from the righthand side. Thanks Jane Untitled 35.pdf
  15. Can anyone explain why there is no gear shift indicator on my Bosch Intuvia display due to my ebike having hub gears ( Nexus 8) A quick look at the Intuvia manual states that with hub gears there is no gear shift indication but no explanation. I have also noticed that going up hill the power mode can jump from eco to tour automatically. My husband states it is my imagination and I must have touched the button without noticing! The bike is a Raleigh Centros.
  16. Thanks for all your advice. The bike shop have listened and there is now a heavier chain on the bike. They have stated if it should happen with this chain they will replace the sprockets with longer toothed ones. It already feels a better ride. The bike is a Raleigh Centros and all the work has been done under warranty with no quibbles. Fingers crossed......
  17. I have a new hub geared ebike (nexus 8 speed) I have had to take the bike back twice to the bike shop where it was purchased from in the last 3 weeks because the chain has come off both times in city traffic. The last time the chain took the chain guard off with it! I can get the chain back on as a quick fix but it has been very slack on both occasions. Any suggestions on what could be the issue other than it is a new bike and chains "stretch" Thanks
  18. Thanks, I realised that re: the components. Shopping around the internet and price matching at my local bike shop I have got it down to a to a decent price. The only thing I have had difficulty with is finding helpful feedback to help seal the deal!
  19. Hi there I am thinking of buying a Raleigh Centros with hub gears. Does anybody have any experience of this e bike? Thanks
