Hi All In my LBS today and they had a cracking looking Orbea Gain M10 in - a bit above my price range though. I currently have a Cube Hybrid with the Bosch CX motor, but want to venture into road biking. However the shop assistant was a bit mixed in terms of his view of the Orbea and said it didn't really help your overall average speed as the motor kept cutting off (which I knew). My assumption is that the Orbea is 1/2 the weight of the Cube, is a road bike and has better gearing for speed so even with a Hub motor I should get power on the hills but be able to self power well over the 15mph cut off limit whilst on the flat and even gentle gradients. He then went on to say there were new models out soon with a more tuned/optimised motor and might be worth waiting for them. So any views/rumors on new models? And will the Orbea increase my overall average speed compared to the Cube (I am averaging around 16.5mph over 20 mile runs at the moment) B

I tried the D30 in London the other day and I’m 5’11 and the large was too big a reach. Medium felt much better. BTW anyone know the weight of the M30 medium - Orbea seem not to publish weights at all.

Thanks Nev - i've had my Cube Hybrid for about 9 months and done a couple of thousand miles now, and slowly getting fitter- then again spoiled with the Bosch CX. Anyone else have a view on the either the ebikemotion or evation motors - which for me, like Nev is all about getting me up the hills easier! Also interested in integration with phone - don't think the Cube does this, but the Orbea has an app to look at motor stats. and finally, when to buy? Is it likely towards the end of summer there may be discounted stock available? Or is it worth waiting for the 2020 models?

Hi I'm looking for some advice on which e-roadbike to get. I've currently got a CUBE Cross Hybrid with a Bosch Performance CX motor which is great, but pretty heavy. I'm looking to sell that and get an e-roadbike and like the look of both the Cube and Orbea. They're about the same price, although the Orbea is Carbon at 3.5k but I don't think the CUBE is. They also have different motor systems. Does anyone have experience of riding either of them - there doesn't appear to be a lot using the CUBE Agree on the Internet? Which motor system is better, i'm conscious neither will be as beefy as the Bosch but any views on which gives better performance/boost? A friend also mentioned Ribble, but not sure about them tbh.
