TSDZ2 750w problems
The most difficult thing was getting the laptop to connect to the cheap Amazon ST-Link. Once that was done (4 hours fiddling this morning) it was a 1 minute job. I flashed with stock firmware but for 52v and all working now. I’ll have a go at OSF next.

I’ll let you know how it goes tomorrow and try to write something. The more I read the less what I am doing at this stage is a change in firmware and more like you used to do on spectrums/c64’s for game cheats/codes - pushing values into the existing data tables. Hopefully it’s going to be straightforward!

TSDZ2 750w problems
ST-link has arrived (thanks - Amazon). I have a copy of stock firmware modified for 52v which I will try to flash to it tomorrow. Just trying to get my head round the instructions - I swear bootloading Android phones was a damn site easier to understand than this! Are there any clear, step-by-step instructions on how to do this?

TSDZ2 750w problems
That’s one of the options I’m considering out of sheer laziness! I keep coming back to the fact that the walk assist is working though - if the controller was totally rejecting the 52v battery then I wouldn’t expect it to.

Doh! So would moving to the open source firmware help me?

Just a thought - I have been reading around controllers - could the problem be I have a 52v battery and a 48v controller?

I ha have you altered any settings other than the wheel size ? turn off the eu speed setting in the menu otherwise no assist above 15.5 unplug and reconnect all the cables I had one with a dodgy connection /plug the power assist is very different compared to a bafang mid drive the more pedal I’lm pretty sure the EU speed setting is off and mind is set to 45. The only other major thing I changed was the assist level to 33 - max assist. I had a Pinarello Nytro which is purely pedal asssir based on torque and this is definitely providing no assistance at all.

Hi Peter I have the vdlc5 screen. The assist level set to 32 (max). No brake cut out fitted or throttle. Speed sensor seems to be lined up and I get a steady (and realistic) speed reading when pedalling.

TSDZ2 750w problems
Hi All This is my first build and it’s all going swimmingly apart from the fact I don’t get any pedal assist! Stupidly I didn’t connect everything together before bolting to the bike but c’est la vie. I’ve got power to the display and have configured it with max assist level, walk mode on etc. Walk mode does work. I can get readings from the torque sensors. Just nothing when you are pedalling. Anyone with the same kit have any ideas for me.? Dodgy controller? Thanks
