Wisper 705se gear cogset repair
BUMP. No Wisper owners/vendors have any advice on this, seriously? This subject has never come up?

Wisper 705se gear cogset repair
My 2010 Wisper 705se has been my main form of transport for 5 years now. Recently, my local bike repairman (very competent and friendly but not an e-bike specialist) told me that the rear gear cogset needed replacing; but that he couldn't figure out how to remove it from the hub motor. The local e-bike specialist has unfortunately stopped servicing Wispers, and I can't find any information on this online. So: can the cogset be removed from the motor? Or would we have to replace the motor to replace the cogset?

Wisper 705 dead battery
Okay, I recently upgraded to a 705se (2009 model, 36V 9A). It's been very good to me recently... until today, when the battery went kaput again! I took it in to service, the guy hooked it up to the voltmeter and it was only giving 16V out the bottom, and dropping all the time (it was down below 11V a couple of hours latter). When he took it apart there appeared to be some moisture or condensation in there, so he's going to just leave it apart to dry overnight, charge it tomorrow and see what happens. Any advice from people who've had similar experiences?

Wisper 705 dead battery
Thanks for your help. You were right that there was an "open circuit" - the servicers took five minutes to find that one of the wires had disconnected from the ignition, and its coming loose in the first place must have been what caused the fuse to blow last week. All fixed now. Anyone else had similar problems with these batteries?

You mean unscrew the battery? Won't that void the warranty?

Wisper 705 dead battery
The charger lights on top of the battery have all gone off, no matter what I do with the key, so I rather think there is a battery issue. But I will take it home and try charging it and see what happens. It may well be a water issue, considering the terrible weather we've had recently.

Wisper 705 dead battery
I bought my Wisper 705eco in September last year and the electrics have never given me any trouble until recently. Last week, the bottom fuse on the battery blew while I was out riding; but I got it replaced the next day from the dealer. (BTW, it is EXTREMELY difficult finding 20x5mm, 25A fuses where I am!) But today the battery just gave up altogether while I was out riding. Not the fuses this time; just... all the lights went off and it won't go back on again. Now I believe there's a 2-year warranty, but the dealer's not open until tomorrow to get the replacement, so I was wondering whether anyone could give me some helpful hints in the meantime, as to why the battery might just up and die like that.
