  1. I mean a whoosh faroo could do it at around 17 to 18 mph not that anybody would change the settings because that would be illegal you'd want to upgrade the tires and the handlebar grips. definitely borrow one of the Halford bikes see if its practical I mean when your feeling fit and if its reasonably flat speeds around 20mph are doable https://www.halfords.com/bikes/electric-bikes/boardman-adv-8.9e-mens-adventure-electric-bike-136102.html something like that beast would easily do that and more but its twice the price of a Faro worth looking at the cycle to work scheme.
  2. own whoosh faro put new puncture-resistant tires much swearing some blood:D it depends on the width of the rim . unplug the power lead take the wheel off its very easy
  3. done 400 miles on it now love it when I can get on it my 17-year-old son tried it and loves it had loads of punctures but only on the rear tire which is odd might be my riding style. its comfortable not sure the suspension seat does anything useful. the supplied lights were adequate although the rear one fell off when I hit a bump the bungee straps stretched cost me u lock which was annoying but those are minor things. its a decent hill climber I'm 86kilos 13 1/2 stone plus a full backpack and it will go up steep hills at 10 mph. It copes fine with gravel and grass just not very bumpy stuff.
  4. dockless hire bikes just sounds like a disaster waiting to happen
  5. they do look cool know just have to wait for 6 to 8 weeks possibly longer due to xmas oh well don't start commuting for at least 4 weeks another week of training 2 weeks leave and then another week on the isle of sheppy
  6. made the mistake of trying an electric bicycle through Halfords for a £1 and was hooked. So looking for a bicycle I could get through the cycle to work scheme and found the faro looks good comes with a rack and mudguards my commutes on 5 miles or so but after a 12-hour shift and uphill on the way back want a bit of assistance:) so now just have to wait for cyclesolutions to do whatever they do
