  1. Installed new PAS (V12L - same as first one). Ground down crank more, nice fit, Spines turn with axle... but no peddle assist. I give up.
  2. Nealh, Thank you, thank you. It seems that, while my PAS worked for a year with no problem, the inner ring (with small spines) was being turned not by the axle, but by contact with the crank. I will need to build up the axle (with tape ?) so the inner ring is turned by the axle. Daaahhh! I appreciate your, and all of the other responses, to my self-imposed dilemma. Thank all y'all.
  3. Thank you. This is very helpful.
  4. Thank you for the photos! Yes I ground down crank for a better fit, which worked for a year only.
  5. Yes, I ground down crank, which worked well for a year. PAS has worn down though and now I'm trying locktite (adhesive) to keep the bolt in place with hopefully the correct pressure on the PAS. There's got to be a better system!
  6. Derailleur is on the right side, and the PAS is on the left side. ?
  7. Thank you for your reply. You wrote that I should remove the bottom bracket to locate the senor collar. Got to admit I'm clueless here. The bottom bracket of what? The PAS is a sealed unit. ???
  8. Thank you for your reply about the left side PAS. That being said, it's clear I'm in over my head. I'll have to look up "BB shell." Crenellations? Sensor seems seated well. The problem seems to be how to tighten the crank without it being too loose (PAS doesn't work) or too tight (excessive rubbing on PAS).
  9. Is there a particular two-piece PAS you would recommend?
  10. Thank you for the advice. This is most helpful!!! I thought that I had done something wrong. You have done your good deed for the day.
  11. Like James, I have a PAS (KT-V12L) issue. Mine has worked fine for a year, but now only works consistently if I aggressively tighten the crank. Even with lock washers the crank loosens enough so that the PAS doesn't work. I've tightened so much now that the PAS is worn and if tightened even more the crank is difficult to turn. Is there a better technology without moving to a completely new system? Thank you in advance for your time.
