  1. Hi all. Just taken my Kathmandu for its first ride. First impressions are great. Found it harder work on the flats than I thought it would as I was cycling at 17 odd mph. Felt it as I am an unfit 17 stone 57 year old . Had two 11% hills on the route which the bike absolutely blitzed. Brakes obviously need bedding in as no great bite yet. Jumps gears on the bottom two gears which I presume would be an easy adjustment. Oh and bell not not supplied. All in all very impressed.
  2. After a lot of looking around at various bikes I've gone for a Cube Kathmandu Hybrid One. Can't wait to pick it up and get cycling again.
  3. Hi all. Reached a bit of a crossroad in my life. 56 years old ex Firefighter who was fit as hell done loads of cycling in my time including the Milk Race. Gone to seed now, 17 stone, bulging disc and anuler tear in my back, asthmatic and on high blood pressure meds. Apart from that I'm fine lol. Looking to get an ebike to go to work on to get a bit fitter and loose weight. Journey is 8 miles each way mostly flat. I've been looking around at bikes sub 2k. Cube Reaction, NCM Moscow Plus and Woosh Gran Camino. I know the legal limit is 15mph but would like to be able to do take the limit off to do around 20 ish. Most of my trip is in the sticks. Any help in choice/advice would be most welcome. Thanks all.
  4. Hi. Which are the better Halfords bikes. I've bought a couple of push bikes from them in recent years and they were rubbish.
  5. Hi Neilh. What is a code 16 Woosh hub bike? I had pretty much decided that a Woosh would be best but just wanted to hear more alternative ideas.
  6. Hi all. Looking for a decent ebike for a daily 16 mile commute. My budget is £1300. I have been looking at the Cyclotricity Stealth 1000w, Wing and Woosh. I am looking for a powerful bike with plenty of torque. Also I would like to have the option to get a little more speed out of it over the legal 15mph in time. I would really appreciate opinions from the knowledgeable on those bikes or anything else suitable. Many thanks. Carl.
  7. Hi all. Recently go a new job 8 miles away and looking at cheap transport hence registering on this lovely site.
