I'd like to get Fiido D4S
yeah I have it and it feels good so far! You certainly feel the bumps as you would expect on a little folder bike as I’ve had a manual folding bike before and it feels the same as that. There’s a brilliant user forum for fiido bikes on Facebook that’s why I went for it. I wanted a cheap introduction to electric bikes with a big following, I expect there to be teething issues but I hope the following allows me to easily obtain advice on any issues that arise. It’s easily unlockable and when unlocked will cruise at about 18-20mph which I feel safer at. 15 would be too slow but that’s my opinion. Most of London is 20 and doing 20 means big busses don’t seem to try to overtake you which is a lot more reassuring. im a trainee multi-skilled engineer so I hope to learn and be able to work on the bicycle myself without too much trouble. I don’t think I would have bought if I wasn’t hands on

Yeah I did speak to them they will deliver to mainland U.K. just have to message them through WhatsApp. They asked for bank transfer though which made me nervous in the end I’ve gone and found a local guy selling one and bought a d4s from him

Amazon has them but they have long lead times and the prices seem inflated. i like the look of the m1 but those tyres are just too chunky! Haha

Hey did you ever manage to get one? I’m searching and because of Brexit it seems I cannot get one at the moment

Am I nuts or is it possible?
I’m quite lucky in that my commute is very early morning and mid afternoon so traffic is never really a massive problem, lock down or not! I like the idea of a test ride, I’ll see if it’s possible to do so still. Thanks for everybody’s advice and suggestions so far, a final question. Are e bikes able to commute year round? - are they okay in heavy rain? and no thanks on the cub! Just sold my gsxr as I’m finished with motorcycles for the time being, too much stress of it being stolen. My e bike can sit indoors and at work as there’s indoor storage too.

Am I nuts or is it possible?
Hi guys, I usually commute by motorbike but I’m toying with the idea of an e-bike. I live in sw London and commute into nw London. It’s 14 each way. So would need something with 40 mile range minimum. I would say I’m of average fitness, not really a cyclist but I jog often, if that helps people’s advice. few questions: 1) Am I going to get fed up with the commute? Ie. Does it sound like a bit of a headache to those who’re experienced. 2) google maps says 1hr20 mins to cycle, What would an e bike realistically do this in? 3) My budget could stretch to 3grand if need be but would rather it was a lot less, perhaps 2grand, what sort of options are there? 4) What sort of maintenance should I budget for per year? Many thanks, Mike
