Oh! I did reply. Is there somewhere I could take it before the 8th and leave it? East Geinstead isn’t too far from me and well worth the trip if you can fix my bike. i rather doubt my ability to fix it myself. thank you again for helping me. Despite some negative reviews I have really enjoyed the bike. Louise

That’s the broken one that was replaced and the problem was sorted. I can take the one off the bike if it would help.

Thanks for your reply. I am near Tunbridge Wells. The motor is fine. I took it to an electric bike shop in Woodbridge and the bloke said that many of the wires in the black box had been cut and bodged back together. Odd as the box has never been opened. I have a photo of the old sensor which was replaced. I’ll send the pic separately because I have to find it in my computer. Louise- Eco Expedition
I’m in Kent. The bike’s problem is that the power surges, then cuts out, surges briefly and cuts out. In the past the sensor seemed to be the problem. any ideas?- Eco Expedition
Does anyone need spare parts? My bike is faulty but I have two batteries and two charges. First bike was stolen.- Spare parts for eco expedition bikes

Thank you for your reply. The really odd thing is that the disc has magically stopped moving round when you spin it, in situ, and the power assist is working perfectly. A mechanic at Everden removed the disc saying it was broken, where it was broken I couldn’t tell, and he said I needed to get a new one. When I asked him to replace it because it was partially working, he was surprised but put it back. It still was working fully but could get me up steep hills on full power only. i took the bike out for a ride yesterday, checked the disc, found it was fixed in place and the bike is working fine. I have no idea how this has happened but for the time being, at least, all is well. Anybody know what might have happene? Louise- Spare parts for eco expedition bikes
the Eco expedition website has a description of this thing but the pic seems to have been blanked out. The website is inactive but describes the part as Replacement PAS Sensor and magnetic ring. It has ten magnets. There are lots of you tube demos using this bit of kit. it costs £30.00 but there is no payment method so you can’t order it, Louise- Spare parts for eco expedition bikes
This is puzzling because the chap at the bike shop said it was 6 9 or 12. As far as I could make out there are 10 on my bike. I can’t measure the thing very easily due to its position. The motor works intermittently and in ‘walk assist’ it’s normal and on full power it seems sort of OK. My local bike mechanic was surprised it worked at all. Thanks for your help with this Jonah. Hi Jonah i forgot to mention that, through no fault of his own, the retailer has closed his business. louise- Spare parts for eco expedition bikes
Thank you for your reply. I have checked the number of magnets and there are nine. I’ve been quoted about £20 for a replacement which I hope will include fitting.- Spare parts for eco expedition bikes
Does anyone know how I can get hold of spare part for my Eco Expedition bike. I Believe the bike is made in China and you can get spares direct but I can’t find anything to tell me who the manufacturer is. The sensor disc is damaged and needs to be replaced. - Eco Expedition
