  1. I built a bafang motor and rode it to work 5 days a week for 3 years ,it never really let me down .The reason I would like a bike with no chain is my bafang bike ate chains and cassettes . I was having to replace them every 3 months ish . My journey is reasonable flat not many hills.Ive seen reviews on YouTube for Chinese bikes but finding one with long term reviews isn't easy .
  2. Hello, can you recommend me a bike that can do a 30 mile round trip commute that is reliable .It would be nice if it used a belt and not a chain and derailleur so had internal gears either in the hub or motor . Ideally a mtb with bigger tyres for comfort . Thank you .
  3. Hello 30 mile range with me on 100kg ,im really don't want complicated no apps or bs .Just turns it on and it works everytime .Something heavy duty .Im not fussed about weight .
  4. Hello ,country road and dual carriage ways all tarmac .No massive gradients . It would nice if it had a decent set of lights and mudguards .I'd love a fatbike for comfort but a normal mtb would be fine .
  5. I used to commute on a diy bafang motor mtb .I have moved home and don't have the bike anymore .I'm looking for a off the shelf bike to commute to work.Im 55 and comfort and reliability are the most important .I've seen a few vids mostly Chinese bikes and some of them look really good .Ideally something with a fairly big AH battery and isn't going to set on fire . The Bafang motor was bullet proof but it did eat chains and cassettes. where should I start to look ? Budget is £2000 -£3000 Thank you

  7. My boss went down a pot hole on his racing bike spent 3 months in hospital, now had to retire with brain damage.Life is a risk sometimes.I have Grand Children .Id like to see them grow up .
  8. Being honest it has scared me to death ,and possibly put me of riding to and from work .I have close calls every week and this is probably to close for comfort .
  9. well Neath i know how fast i was going because i ride that route twice a day 5 days a week unless my speedo is wrong i was doing 20-25 .My bike wont go quicker that that at that junction nearer the bottom of the hill i would be quicker but not over the speed limit .Not possible with the gearing i have on my bike .
  10. Very little damage to his car,i think i hit his wheel then over the bonnet .
  11. The police are going to do you for driving with undue care he is 82 so will probably lose his licence.Im not going to pursue it,just ask him to replace my helmet .Unless my bike is knackered . I think its only the front wheel i will see this weekend .
