Wisper 806 update and panniers
Hi. We’ve had the 806s a couple of months now and loving them. It is great to be able to cycle again and my joints are feeling the benefit. We carry the dog on the back, and after lots of trials have fitted a MIK system to the rear rack. This has made fixing the dog basket really easy and also opens up the range of double panniers.

Wisper intermittent power issue
We now have our two new Wisper 806 bikes, which are great. We have had a couple of rides on them now, but have an issue with the battery and wonder if anyone has any ideas? We are on holiday now so can’t take it bake to the dealer at the moment. The battery just cuts out. If we take it out and put it back it will work for a short time and then all power goes. We swapped batteries and the same fault on the different bike. Any ideas if there is a simple solution, as we are on holiday in Suffolk at the moment. Thanks

Sanity check my thinking, paralysed by choice, please help!
Hi, I am very new to this all and just waiting for new Wisper bikes to arrive! Our budget was half of yours for each bike, but the main reason for purchasing is to get fitter and maintain my range of movement. I too have fibromyalgia and haven't ridden much since my 20s - I am 54 . For me the most important thing is comfort as if I am in one position too long, I'm stuck! I was lucky enough to try a few bikes. I thought a Dutch style bike would be best, but when on it, the angled handle bars hurt my wrists too much. I can't tolerate lowered bars- too much pressure on shoulders, neck and hands. When getting confidence to actually ride again, using a standard bike, I found actual pedalling really hurt my feet for days after, for that reason I chose the cadence sensor rather than torque. When I tried the Wisper 806 I could get into a really comfortable position, that had my joints in more neutral positions. The step through of the bike was manageable and got easier the more I tried it! Because we have a campervan we picked the folding option as then we don't need two carriers - one for van, one for car. The day after trying it was really noticeable how much more comfortable I was than after being on the regular bike. I am excited to get going and enjoy being out and about. We have got nearly everything sorted, except carrying the dog, and just need the bikes! Should be soon though. It is a huge investment, and if your fibromyalgia is like mine (no one is the same though!) it is worth waiting or travelling to try them. We had a hours journey to get to the nearest dealer. My preconceptions were all wrong and I could have ended up with something that just made things worse. Happy hunting, I'm sure you'll find something perfect for you!

Whisper 806 options for fibromyalgia
Thanks for your answer, I must admit it's all very new and confusing to me! Luckily I found the handlebars comfortable, but you never really know until you've tried it for a long time. Where we looked today seem to have the torque in stock, otherwise I think it's going to be a wait for the cadence ones

Whisper 806 options for fibromyalgia
Having tried a couple of bike, mainly for comfort due to fibromyalgia and arthritis, I have decided the Wisper 806 is the one for me! I managed to step through reasonably easily. The Dutch style bikes required too much ulnar deviation on the wrists and were quite uncomfortable. We have a campervan and a car, so it is easier to have folding bikes. We would be getting two. I see the issue of fibromyalgia, chronic pain and fatigue have been covered before on here. I'm wondering if any of those who asked questions are still around and can help with final decisions. I am heavy and unfit, my hands and feet will hurt from cycling (hopefully the more exercise, the better it will get). I can get fatigued, but I only "hit the brick wall" a few times a year and that is usually in the morning. Is the torque option worth considering/ extra cost? I'm thinking, it gives extra range, but if I'm struggling would it be too tiring - or would it be worth the effort? We live on a slight hill, so the last part of any journey home will involve a hill. It will be used for shorted journeys around town, to and from work occasionally and for leisurely rides out when off in the van. My primary aim is to increase my fitness, increase the range of movement on my knees and have little adventures!

Hello!
Thank you for your welcomes. At this point I think I need to find somewhere to try out some different models. Benjahmin- I like the look of the Big Bear because it looks like a tank! I have dismissed the idea of a folding bike as I don’t want to end up as a GIF ( Think elephant on tiny trike!)

Hello!
Hi. I am an un fit fatty with fibromyalgia and other health problems and really want to get on a bike again. I haven't been on a bike for years, and it's only recently I thought about going electric. The last time I tried a regular bike, my right knee just couldn't bend enough! I have been to hydro and walking lots more and after adjusting my sons bike, did manage to get the old knee working! Obviously getting the right crank length would be important. I don't know the what possibilities for changing this are. I have a budget of £1,500 max. Having read some of the threads on here and researching a bit, I am leaning towards Woosh big bear LS, wisper 705 or a Batribike (attracted by the long warranties and local dealer). I want to use the bike for some commuting and to increase my fitness . It will have to be step through because of my joint problems, I have chronic pain and fatigue so I need to be in a comfortable position, would like to make sure I can have the right crank length Excited to be starting an adventure!
