  1. Thanks for the replies guys. It would be interesting to know the percentage of those using motors rated over 250w as Monty says.
  2. Guy’s I’m planning on my first conversion and would obviously like it to have enough range & power to satisfy my needs but if I understand correctly the legal limit is 250w motor. I see a lot of posts here referring to much larger motors & am wondering if I’m missing something or have misunderstood the legal side? Or is it just a case of no one ever checks?
  3. did you fit motor cut out for the hydraulic brakes? can you point me to any solutions for that please?
  4. Thanks, so you replaced the gear cable entirely with a new one in sheathing and re routed? did you opt for a throttle or not?
  5. Any issues i need to be aware of with fitting tsdz2 to Fury? what battery would you suggest?
  6. Which kit/motor did you fit Peter? Are you happy with your choice?
  7. Thanks that's really helpful and something I'd like to do but is also a bit daunting given my limited knowledge of cycle maintenance. I'll do some research.
  8. That's something I hadn't thought of, can you point me towards any guides on what's involved? I'm happy with the fury now its got adjustable stem & sus seat post
  9. H, I'm a 61 year old semi regular cyclist with a rarely used hybrid and a Carrera Fury mtb set up with adjustable stem to give a more friendly riding position. I'm now looking for an E-bike to enable me to venture further afield. My riding consists mainly of tracks/rutted paths and some gravel. I like the larger tyres on my mtb as opposed to the 700cc on hybrid and a hard tail is fine. Reliability, low(ish) maintenance and range are key requirements. I have a budget around £2000. Can anyone recommend a dealer near Welwyn area who has a good range and will let me try a few out? or even suggest some options? Thanks Steve
