IMHO he should have refused to take a breath test, as he didn't need a driving licence or road tax, I should think that is why he wasnt banned from the road.

Any particular reason you contacted the manafacturer about the problem, and not the supplier? who your contract was probably with.

Paul as your contract is with the retailer, have you looked at your rights under the sale of goods act.
