How to reduce lowest assist speed on bafang BBS02B?
I've got a bafang BBS02B 750w mid drive with a 52V 14AH battery. Set at PAS 1 it is too fast for me and really "kicks in" - not a nice smooth assist or low cruising speed. I have the USB programming cable on the way. With this can I reduce PAS 1 and can the assist be smooth rather than just and "on/off" feel? Would a lower voltage battery reduce the speed? I read before buying that less than 52v isn't good for this motor. Do it make sense to get a lower voltage battery to decrease the speeds? - A separate question. The are only 3 PAS modes. Shouldn't there be 9? Thanks

What's the best bafang for my buck?
I'm converting a hybrid into an e-bike. I'm looking at Bafang's mid drives BBS02B and BBSHD - 1000w BBSHD is too much power for my needs but I can't see where to get one at 500w or 750w... do they exist? - BBS02B sounds like it has some reliability problems after a while. Is this common for average use? How many teeth? - current bike has 36 on the chain ring Batteries... any recommends on downtube battery packs and where to get them? Thanks

How to DIY an unstealable bike
Is there no discrete motor design out there? I see mechanical doping use ones inside the seat tube. At the moment my nice-ish road bike has survived 9 years in London being locked in all sort of places and hours with a good chain on just the front wheel and frame. I'd love to be able to do the same with an ebike but it sounds like there aren't many options.

How to DIY an unstealable bike
I'd like run an electric bike in London with the same theft-risk as my normal bike. Instead of beefing up the security, I want to hide everything in an unattractive looking bike. Are there any proven methods on how to hide the motor, battery and throttle into a very boring looking bike? Thank you!
