Cost batt £209 seems average Rear wheel kit with all you need . 167 £ 170 plus average I'm going to make a few semi custom torque helpers Just waiting for 6mm stainless to arrive . Will mill out Slot for axle . The idea you drill out hole to fix the support plate to dropout via mudguard fix hole If you have wires out of axle maybe slot for wires

Just found recommended by me Battery 48/13 Seller on eBay Hong Kong arrives 3 days early Bespov001 Rear wheel 1000w seller ...whitemor-63(6) All seem to be ok . Motor wire out of axle so torque arm fitted other side .. All easy and I'm astounded at performance. 28mph was top speed when batt full. Still on first charge . . Problems? Bottle cage screw adapter needed . My bottom bracket needed taking off and sorting so PAS bracket fitted to bottom bracket cup remember Left hand thread . Not hydraulic brakes . Just front disc . Stops ok . Interesting 15 programs on controller . I might set top speed to 15 . That's prog 8 . All amazing tech.

I'm in s Liverpool just done a convert why buy a en Ike when you can save build from kit . Have s go with mine Even me impressed . See how far I've gone on my first charge . A few bikes here for you- Case studies - how has your electric bike changed your life?
Always interested I electric cars . Drive Electric 80 was an exhibition Wembley 1980 . So built a Reliant 3 wheeler ,48,,V 30 mph . Then 15 years ago bought a GEM EV small 2 seater . . Seeing all the pink Liverpool scooters for hire got me thinking so after lots of dithering bought a 48v rear wheel job . Thinks convert an old Tesco Vertigo mountain bike .Just the job for getting to Liverpool marina . No don't have an electric boat but I do know somebody that's doing one and it's 55 footer! Still not charged up after 25 miles so really pleased . Would like to help others convert . Have nice workshop and all machines welder etc for all the bits that don't fit .keep in touch .- Where Do You Live V2.0

Liverpool nice flat roads South Lpool just near the prom so ebike house to marina .- How does the controler limit 'speed' ?
Many years ago I built an E car used a fork lift controller thyristor control . Easy to understand . You couldn't just switch on the thing would blow up . So the feed was pulsed .that is it was switched on and off so many times a second say 30 . Each switch on / off was a very short time .Switch on / off longer and the car goes faster . . DC system has to have the electronics to do the pulsing . Household dimmer uses the 50 on and offs . Easy ! A later E car had all that electronics in a box the size of a half a loaf of bread . No thyristors but power transistors . But I liked the buzzing of the old style control . Before that it was the clicking of contactors on trolley busses and old milkfloats - Hello from Liverpool
