  1. Thank you for that, It is pretty much what I feared and my Garage is in a separate block with no electrical services in the immediate area. Fiido would appear to have missed an opportunity for just a moments thought. I suppose I was dreaming of something like a screw in plug and a snap on unit so that you unscrew the electrical connection, snap on a grip and withdraw the battery, swap the grip to the replacement, fit the battery and screw in the electrical connector, Simples.
  2. Thanks VFR (Always loved Hondas various 400s both faired and naked, True engineering).
  3. I love my Fiido D4s but the charge in the battery simply does not last as long as I would like, The makers say the battery is not removable even though there are plenty of threads that suggest otherwise, What I want to know is how difficult is it to remove the battery and connect to a replacement thereby saving my back from having to tote the bike up the stairs to my flat when if I could simply swap batteries I could leave the bike secure in the garage.
  4. I bought my Fiido4,(£550) assembled it then phoned SAGA and 10 minutes later my e-bike was insured. Isn't spending money easy these days.
  5. If that really is the only reason why the D4s battery is a "Fixture" then I could as you say ask our Gallic friend to print me an adapter BUT in a world which seems to be getting evermore Home 3D Printers perhaps it would be an act of goodwill to download the programme for anyone to make (Print) their own.
  6. So if I have got this right If I unscrew the battery from the frame and fit the plastic conversion moulding to the battery i could remove the battery and recharge it independent of the bike and refit the battery afterwards. If that is so then that answers my problem. BUT nothing is ever that easy so what is the catch ?
  7. And yet watching the video it appears that our French friend has removed the battery and devised a system of charging the battery off the bike for minimal cost or difficulty. Perhaps I have missed something, Being very new to this it would be surprising if I had not, Whatever' I am very grateful for your reply and the inclusion of the U-Tube link.
  8. I have been given to understand that the Fiido d4s battery cannot be removed from the frame of the bike. I presently have to carry the bike upstairs to my flat to charge the battery and if it was possible to remove it it would certainly make things easier to carry the battery upstairs instead. Could somebody tell me it can be taken out of the frame and how please.
  9. I am 75 I sold my car in 2010 and with a bus pass that has become a health hazard I needed wheels to get me to the shops and the docs and get as much or as little exercise as I think I need, I ordered a Fiido d4s in July and after what seemed a lifetime and lots of empty promises from "Banggood" it arrived at the end of August, Love it, I also quickly discovered the lack of cycleways in the area. I figured that the time would come when I would need advise about the machine so searched and found this wonderland. Be gentle with me. Shaun.
