  1. i've also converted a Hollowtech crank bike using a rear hub kit from Woosh. (kit from Woosh) I'm mid forties, weigh about 14 stone, pretty unfit at the moment and the DWG22C kit from Woosh is a great fit for me. The most tricky part was the PAS sensor installation. I removed the smallest cog and fitted the magnetic disc in place of it. I used a seat tube mounted sensor, did some fiddling and got the sensor as close to the magnet disc as i could. Another question for a rear hub setup is this... let's say that I am half way up a long hill and my legs are knackered, can I just use the throttle and (without the pedals turning) continue on electric only (hope that makes sense)? yes you can but you also need to factor in how steep the hill is, your weight and what motor you buy. I've found that with the assistance from the hub motor im never too tired to stop pedaling for hills. Mo
  2. Hi vfr400 What motor do you have ? Thanks Mo
  3. Thanks for the reply mate. I should have worded that last sentence better! If anyone knows of retailers that do conversion kits on any cycle scheme, I'll add them to the list. I think the ones you've listed are too mainstream to do hub or mid drive kits.
  4. Hi guys I thought i'd start a thread showing retailers that accept Cycle to Work vouchers for conversion kits. I cant afford to spend up to 1k on a conversion so this is my only choice. My company give Evans vouchers so i'll be listing whoever accepts those. I've sent out some emails to a few companies and will update this list as i get replies. So far we have: Woosh www.e-bikesdirect.co.uk Let me know if you know of any other companies that accept any sort of Cycle to work vouchers. Thanks Mo
  5. Hi Guys, thanks for your replies and very useful advice so far. I think i may have hit a roadblock with the BBS01. My BB is 89.5mm wide which if understand correctly is not compatible with the BBS01 or 02. The next option would be a hub drive. I'd prefer rear but how would that work with my 10 speed cassette? Thanks Mo
  6. hi guys another newbie thread here. Im wanting to convert my Scott Scale Hard tail using a Bafang BBS01 kit from Woosh but i was wondering what additional kit i need to complete the build. The bike is this one: Scott Scale Things that im concerned about are: Bottom Bracket - is a Shimano- BB-MT500-PA shell 41x89.5mm press fit - would i need an adapter? which one? It has a 10 speed cassette "Shimano CS-HG50-10 / 11-36 T" - would this be ok to use? Do I also need to get a new chain ring? would the bafang one supplied be ok or should i go for one of the Lekkie ones? I have hydraulic brakes but do i actually need any brake sensors? I appreciate your time reading this. Mo
