  1. I sadly Richard I have bought myself a NCM Moscow About 7 weeks ago. Actually the Moscow appears to be a sound, well put together bike for the money. However mine turned up with a dead battery and I’ve been waiting for Leon Bikes, to get another battery to me since. Leon have been abysmal with their after sales service. They have made and broken promises right left and centre. Then they stood answering emails. A guy on here, montyPAS gave me a link to their Facebook page. I posted the timeline of my order on there and they were talking to me again. I’m currently waiting on a promise that my new battery will be here this week. I’ll let you into a secret! I’m not holding my breath Watch this space.
  2. Ohh don’t worry. With their record I’ve already got it typed out ready to post.
  3. Ha ha. Within half an hour of posting mo order timeline on that link I got a call from Leon’s people who look after the UK. Battery promised within 5 full working days
  4. I dropped a clanger there. I saw the number on their UK Facebook page and thought OK that’s good. When I looked again about 4 weeks ago I realised it’s a German number. Thanks for the link in your next post, I’ve posted the time line of the order on there. I’ve been honest as well. A bit of creative editing could have made it sound much worse.
  5. I’m still waiting for this cowboy outfit (Leon) to get me a working bike An email to the German parent produced a “we can’t find your details, please talk to Leon UK. Reply. So much for the wonderful German efficiency. God I’m hacked of with this pisspoor service.
  6. Realy? My contact is Chinese I got the distinct impression Leon UK, Leon Germany, Leon USA, Leon Timbucktoo. Are one and the same apart from web addresses. And all located in downtown Beijing. If they managed their subcontractors in a decent manner I wouldn’t have a problem with that. I do have a problem with their current fuck you attitude though.
  7. This is the time line for the month delay for delivery of my NCM Moscow Plus. Bike ordered and paid for on the 15/4/21. Arrived 20/4/21 Notified Leon Bikes battery not operational 20/4/21 New battery promised on 21/4/21 Battery promised before my holiday starting 04/05/21 on the 24/4/21 or full refund would be granted. Battery promised “late next week” Plus cycle rack and light kit as compensation on 29/4/21. First mention of special package for battery delivery in this email. 30/4/21 I informed Leon I would be on holiday next week and would therefor be unable to take delivery of the battery. Leon confirmed by return email on the same day. 8/5/21 I confirmed to Leon I had returned from holiday and was available to receive the replacement battery. 10/5/21 Leon confirmed again they had the battery in their UK warehouse but are now waiting for the special package required to ship the battery. I had been told this package had been ordered on the 29/4/21. 13/5/21. Leon promised me the battery will be shipped to me next. Same day I asked Leon what next meant. 14/5/21 packaging has now arrived but the warehouse are unable to ship until they have finished “professional training” next week. Battery promised late next week. Apart from the obviously untested battery the bike is very nice. Whenever I do eventually get a battery I think I will get to love it lots. What I won’t get to love is the lying bastards at Leon Bikes who obviously try and bulshit their way out of any adverse situation they can.
  8. The latest pisspor excuse is the courier is undergoing “Professional Training”. Now the battery cannot be shipped untill they have finished and inspected themselves. Skid marks I suppose.
  9. So now, Leon are saying they have a battery in their UK warehouse for me. But I cannot have it until the end of next week due to UK regulations on sending batteries. They must wait for the correct packaging to arrive. before it is sent out. They have had three bloody weeks to organise a box wit a sodding label. Jesus I’m pissed.
  10. Ahh within 5 minutes of my last posting I received a fairly none committal reply from Leon. Coincidence?
  11. I’m a bit underwhelmed with Leon bikes. My Moscow Plus arrived on the 25th of last month. Unfortunately it came with a completely dead battery. I’ve had three dates promised for the replacement. All come and gone and still no battery. I am now pretty sure they are avoiding answering my emails. I understand times are challenging as far as importers are concerned but sweet JC. I paid neigh on 1600 quid 16 days ago and have naff all I can ride. My bike looks lovely but it aint going anywhere unless I nick my missus battery.
  12. Well the missus’s Milano Plus (she wanted a step through chicken chaser despite having ridden an NC30 for a number of years.) arrived late today. It’s built up and sleeping in the spare bedroom. It will be test ridden tomorrow. When I inquired I was initially told there were no large frame Moscows to be had for love nor money and wouldn’t be any here in the UK for some time. However after a pestering email or two they found me a Moscow plus which I stumps up for today and am shouting at the Leon Bikes “Track Your Order” page to HURRY UP. After seeing Lizzie’s (my missus) bike I’m pretty sure of two things. 1/. Leon bikes UK is pretty much a website and no more. 2/. NCM bikes are a bit good for the money. Point one don’t matter diddly squat. Apart from the fact there don’t appear to be any telephone contact possible. They answer emails and messenger messages PDQ and bend over backwards to help. I’m impressed. thanks for the heads up VFR400. I’ll report back when I can tell you how well it gets a fat old bloke up the local hills.
  13. They got back to me wit a goodish answer. I’m waiting until early May. Looks like I’m running behind my missus for a week ot two.
  14. That ain’t even nearly mean by your useual standards kid.
