  1. Thanks again for the heads up on the price , picked bike up today with mudguards fitted. About 10 miles home from Southampton , not a place i would choose to ride , but i like the bike , only used eco mode and could feel it in my legs but not as slow as normal. Looks nice tomorrow so i will do 20-30 miles on the South Downs , quieter roads , looking forward to it.
  2. Thanks Peter , i will check those out when i collect it , looking forward to it
  3. Hi Peter , just saw your post , good price so just bought one in green to pick up in Southampton , maybe Saturday. Totally on instinct , need to sell a motorbike now. What mudguards and rack did you buy? Thanks , Ian.
  4. I do like the simplicity of it but hadn't considered any of your points , so thanks for pointing them out.
  5. Plus the cadence sensor is omitted for the gyroscope on the battery , the spec is so similar it seems they have based it on the LVBU kit.
  6. These look interesting and a good price , are they the same as these? https://bikekits.co.uk/
  7. On mostly levels 2 and 3 , level 1 a bit slow in fairly hilly South Downs , i get over 50 miles range , a great little bike. I do 25-30 miles leisure rides , get uncomfortable after that , or 8 mile ew commutes.
  8. I have a Fido D4S , very pleased with it and cheap. Would a torque sensor mean i would get a bit more exercise? What is the difference between the x and the D21 as they look the same to me.
  9. Thanks for the info. I read that to adjust the brakes , loosen mounting bolts , hold brake on hard , re-tighten bolts. I didn't bend the wire , it is very strong so can't easily be bent or twisted , i tried. I bought from a uk dealer , sent a picture , a to and fro of about 8 emails wanting a video of me fitting it for an engineer to assess. My last email seems to have done the trick and they are sending a replacement , the bit must be worth about £1. Really surprised at the range , that was until totally drained. Setting 1 didn't do much unless going walking pace so used 2 and 3 and some throttle. Was on the edge of the south downs so not flat. Will cycle to work about 8 miles each way one day this week knowing i will easily make it. How is the D11 , much nicer looking bike and handy to take the battery off to charge. What range do you get?
  10. Pleased with the bike , apart from awful noise from brakes , especially front. Seems to be a common problem , hopfully can get rid of it or reduce it. Bike is good , one of the wire arms for the mudguards is bent and twisted so throws mudguard a long way of centre. The wire is strong so can't be bent/twisted without heat. I got 86km on first charge , mostly setting 2 and 3 and some throttle , fairly hilly , so pleased with that.
  11. Actually 35 km , thanks a lot for the info.
  12. Does anybody know if there is a total mileage reading on these(km). I did about 30 km first ride , but stopped about 4 times . I turned off the power a couple of times , it also turns itself off after 10 minutes , resetting to zero each time.
  13. Just ordered one of these , next day delivery at reasonable price with mudguards , looking forward to it as i have a week off work.
  14. Hope it comes soon , i like the bikes..
