Converting a bike to an electric bike?
Thanks for your help - don't think I'll be going for the conversion after reading the feedback. Back to searching for a decent looking electric bike (street cred!), with decent power, etc, etc, for someone 5'2". Any further suggestions are always welcome!!!!

Converting a bike to an electric bike?
Sorry folks, I'm back again. Thank you all so much for your help, it's been so very helpful! I've now got an offer of a normal mountain bike that is the perfect size, just needs a new tyre - so wondering about kits. Or even buying a new bike and having it converted. I've seen a perfect bike too, 15" frame with 28" wheels. How much are the kits? Can they be added to any bike? Are they easy enough to fit? (not that I could do it, coz as well as being short, I'm blonde too lol) . Can you get a professional to fit a kit for you?? And anything else you can think of ........... Thanks again - in advance!

Powerbyke 6 Ls Reviews???
Agattu/technium - yes would be too big ............... still looking into the others! Something I forgot to mention was that I wanted something that wouldn't damage my street cred - looked like a normal bike as much as possible. I just wish I was a few inches taller and I'd have no problem at all!

Powerbyke 6 Ls Reviews???
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/m/cycle/7/Technium/ That does look quite good - feeling a bit more positive now. The battery is 26V 10Ah (260Wh), compared to the Powabyke LS being Lithium 36 Volt, 6ah. (doesn't mean much to me tho)!!! More advice needed on the 2 please!!! I don't have a bike that's worth adapting. It's mainly to get around and about Lichfield (Staffordshire) - maybe about 10 miles or so required, but possibly more on occasion. Mostly road usage, but would like to be able to go on grass paths, etc, when necessary. Price range is up to £1k, but would prefer less as funds are tight. Local suppliers only have Izip (over £1k) and Trek (heading towards £2k - but look lovely). I do want to do some pedalling myself, but don't want to be a sweaty mess by the time I get to work. I'm working on my fitness levels lol.

Powerbyke 6 Ls Reviews???
Not too sure Having read the reviews on the link supplied, I'm even more unsure. It does sound quite negative, especaially about the suspension and thumb throttle, but several negative comments. I'm only 5'2" - thus the reason for a small frame. Can anyone recommend another electric bike that would be any good for me please?
