has anyone had a problem with spokes snapping with the bafang bpm kit from greenbikekit and know a uk supplier of replacement spokes?

batteries do seem to have good reviews on the net and they are very helpful and answer e-mails very quick thanks for your input

Hello i am after a new battery for a 8fun motor and 350w controller i have come across a company called 'ping battery who make to order batteries has anyone had any experience with this company? The battery i am looking at is the 36v 10a or poss the 15a however these batteries look very small any info appreciated.

to be honest i had a power problem with this kit from the start even before i changed the controller , the battery would not switch off by the switch (and this was before i changed any wiring or controller) the information i was given was that this battery would be fine for the controller but would shorten the life cycle of it (what you had said) it seems pointless buying another battery from sunlova as the kit with their controller is no good for me. i should had bought the Ailien kit so i only have myself to blame

i am using a 350w controller made by e-crazyman for the 8fun motor as the sunlova controller was completely useless in the power assist mode i needed to boost it a little

ok thanks for that i was given wrong information and if i had know the controller would damage the battery would not had used it

the battery in the link has a 10a continuous discharge current am i not looking for one with a 20a discharge current ? or if so i would pay the extra for the bigger battery if i can use with the controller .

i should point out the picture is of the inside of the terminal box the first time it melted since then sunlova sent me a new box and the same has happened again 2 weeks later (this time damaging battery )the two red wires you see were slightly welded together when i opened the box

good evening all , i have sent a number of posts reguarding my sunlova kit which i have had nothing but trouble with i would very much appreciate information from anyone that may have had problems with this kit or any advise from any experts .earlier in the week my battery for this kit packed up i had just charged it and got about half a mile down the road and the battery gauge shot to red ,when i got home the battery would not charge as soon as i plugged it in the charger showed the green light and would not start to charge . previously i had a problem with the battery terminal box (the wires inside melted) and a problem with the controller which did not seem to be letting enough power through.when i contacted sunlova they said they would send out a new controller but could i fix the wires myself which i did however sunlova have now told me that i have damaged the battery because i had modified the wiring and it had shorted out(and burned the battery inside) .i changed the wires to thicker because the existing ones were far to thin and in my option caused them to melt in the first place. surely it there was a short the fuse would had blown before damaging the battery? any advise or information would be appreciated .

glad to see i am not the only one with problems with the sunlova kit i to had a problem with the controller (not letting enough power through) and now the batteries gone after using it only half a dozen times battery is with sunlova and i am hoping there will replace it even though out of warranty by 2 months some interesting points though sunlova claim they had no problems with these batteries or controllers ? i also had the battery checked before sending off to them and have been told its only a 8amp battery? unless i am going mad it was a 9amp supplied with kit.would be interested to hear any comments from other sunlova owners ,anyway the ailen special is still going strong ! considering getting another but i have just looked on the kudos site and very interested in there bikes and the fact they do spare batteries at a good price anyone know when the site goes live?

changed controller still the same checked battery and took for second option battery is faulty need to source new but want to get bigger one (around 10ah) interesting guy in shop says sunlova battery only is only 8ah ? can i just get new battery and change connectors on the kit?

hi all i need new battery for sunlova kit how easy is it to replace, can i just get a 10amp lithium battery and change the connectors on the kit? seems to be few places in the uk that sell spare batteries anyone have any suggestions?

wires already replaced john give me a heads up on that one , i don't think these batteries are that great anyway wondering if its worth getting a new battery but thats easier said than done!

there is no power at all whilst riding the battery seems to be completely dead apart form it showing red on the battery gauge (but not the handlebar gauge) one thing i did notice before the battery went dead was that the switch wouldn't turn the power off . i have checked all wires and connections and they are all good

yes checked fuse ok & red light works on the battery indicator, i had a power problem with this kit and i thought the controller was faulty as its useless in power assist mode and you only get decent power by using pedal assist and the throttle together range is not much better either about 16miles

hello all , i have a problem with my sunlova kit , the battery had just come off charge so was full however on the way home tonight the power failed and the battery gauge shot to red i checked the gauge on the battery and that was also red, having got home i put the battery on charge but the charger is showing green and the battery won,t charge this kit has been a right pain and has been nothing but trouble i know there is one or two of you that had problems with the sunlova batteries. have contacted sunlova and they say they have never come across this problem. any suggestions?

sunlova wires i asked for a controller for 8fun motor and he said would supply a 350w as i needed a bit more power than the old sunlova one i assumed it would all be the same

sunlova have changed the wiring on the switch couldn't believe how thin it was have also shorted the main wire which was about a Meter too long ! sourced another pedal sensor from bms battery in china received within a week . once iv'e sorted out where the extra wires go and its all running will post back to let you know how it goes. if power still no good will count my losses and will look at possibly getting a alien kit as i have had no luck with the sunlova kit at all.if the alien kit is as good as the bike (i have a alien special also) then i can't go wrong

sunlova kit switch on throttle to turn throttle power on/off the controller supplied with kit from sunlova seriously lacked power in power assist mode and was more effort to use the cycle than it was without a kit, had a controller made up for the 8fun motor from e-crazyman which was recomended from some guys on here.

hello i've just received a new controller from e-crazyman as an upgrade for the sunlova kit however on the sunlova controller conectors the is 6 wires going to the throttle but only 3 on the new controller i am mssing something? any info apprectiated .
