  1. As promised here’s my update. Firstly many thanks to AGS for the link to Onebot’s site. I emailed them at service@onebot.bike and eventually got a quote for $30 which I was able to pay through PayPal. They provided a tracking system and the new LED screen arrived this morning. All back together and working well. The new one is marked up differently to the broken one. See photos - new one on the right.
  2. Ok, I went to your previous post and cross referencing photos of my defunct led and the one I’ve ordered, it looks like I’ll need to swap one wire. I’ll keep you posted
  3. Sorry didn’t see this before replying, sounds like it will be a bit of a gamble as to whether I’ll blow up the led because the wires could be in a different order in the block connector. Is there any way to check which wire does and join them alternatively to the block connector?
  4. bridged the orange and red wires using tin foil in the connector and shielding the other pins with pvc tape. It works with throttle and pedal assist just as you said, but very weak. But hey, you saved the rest of my holiday in flat Holland! After searching YouTube and Amazon I went on AliExpress and ordered an led that looks identical to the one I’ve removed, but on closer inspection the five pin block connector has slightly different coloured wires and the small block connector only seems to have one wire instead of two. What do you think the chances are of it helping me out?
  5. So the small two pin connector is just for the lights? I’ve seen I’ll try to bridge those wires and now I know that the two wire connector is just for the lights I think I’ll try to buy a cheap Chinese LCD that has a five pin connector.
  6. Thanks for sharing. I’ve seen KT displays on eBay and Amazon all with a five pin plug only, but mine has the five pin as well as a two pin plug. Is the two pin plug necessary to get me going again, or do I need a display with both five and two pin plugs.
  7. Thanks for the reply, I’m not really well up on changing wiring to improve performance, but I’ve attached a photo of the LCD. If someone could identify it and tell me where to get a replacement I’d be much obliged.
  8. This is the broken display and type of connectors. Any help about where to get a replacement would be most appreciated.
  9. Hello knowledgeable ones. I left my Onebot out in the rain and the display got wet and now won’t work. Does anyone know if they can be replaced easily, are the generic ones available on Amazon and eBay suitable? I know that MiRider is practically the same bike upgraded, would they sell me a suitable LED? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  10. Thank you Nealh, I’m sure that most people here will have understood my ‘coded message’, lol. The only reason for mentioning this supplier is that I do like a bargain and it suits my needs greatly while exploring hobbies especially when more ‘mainstream suppliers’ are ripping the tits out of the market!! The guy I refer to trades directly from source. As far as precise tech speak goes, I apologise, but still think people will understand what I mean by “7 amp battery” as apposed to “7 ah battery”. I have a Chausson 360 Motorhome on a Ford base with a 200 ah lifepo4 Polinovel smart leisure battery running a 12 volt system plus a 2000 watt pure sine wave inverter. The battery is fed by a Victron 12-12/30 ah b to b non isolated charger as well as 230 watts of solar panels managed by a Victron solar controller. It also has a 40 ah lifepo4 charger if required whenever on hook up. We’re pretty much off grid! My home built 200 amp hour smart lifepo4 with a 100 ah Daly bms is simply a hobby battery. I built it to charge recreational appliances such as my Onebot s6. The 6.4ah lithium battery that came with the s6 is quite acceptable as it goes, but I just thought people with the Onebot s6 might be interested in a contact for the larger 7Ah at a very reasonable price, I keep mine fully charged in a back pack. It’s just good to know that wherever I’ve cycled, I’ll be able to get home easily!
  11. Hi all, New here but just reporting that I needed a spare battery for my Onebot s6 and found a guy called Steve Parkin who can get the 7 amp battery delivered to a U.K. address currently for £250. He can be contacted @ enquiries@efunzonoe.co.uk I have to say that I was a little worried about money up front but this guy is trying to build up his business and I can recommend his honesty. The very same battery through MiRider looking at their web site will set you back £300. Not sure if that’s inclusive of postage? Mark up is one thing, but looks like a little greed comes into play when Chinese imports are sold on!! Hope this helps anyone looking for a spare battery for a Onebot s6 or a MiRider for that matter as they are the same battery.
  12. Welcome Klaisa, great part of the world for cycling
  13. Thanks, I hope it’s worth it as well
  14. Ah yes, indeed, I did ask about that and fortunately the company I’m ordering through have a warehouse in the U.K. The spare battery and spare controller do have to come from China but I’m not going to lose any sleep over that in terms of added tax.
