Ezee battery replacement UK
thankyou for the reply, so changing menu 1 to 48v will increase speed, but with no loss of torque? Is it possible to "read" what my settings are for menus 2 & 3 ? At present torque, to me at least seems very low. I wouldn't mind more! However this is not essential . The instructions say a 900w motor, if that helps? And I have attached pictures On another note I have I think an Identical set up on another wheelchair with 48v battery. Speed seems similar but it definitely has far more torque... Any pointers to/ for my first question? Also this one has cruise control where speed is constant if you push one arrow key from memory. However the Batac one (shown) that I want to to change to 48v does not do this. All it does is adjusts max speed. Is there a way of reconfiguring these buttons in the same manner, where max speed is not adjusted but they just set cruise control ? Thanks once again. @Cyclezee ... are you able to shed any light ?

Ezee battery replacement UK
Sorry to resurrect an old thread... I have a mobility bike made by Batec that uses an Ezze controller and motor as shown in the manufacturer's spec below... https://batec-mobility.com/en/products/handbikes/batec-electric It is the standard version that travels at around 12.5mph on a 20" wheel with a 36v battery. However I am aware that they made a special high speed limited (more torque too?) version that ran from a 48v battery. https://batec-mobility.com/en/products/handbikes/batec-rapid Not that the manufacturer admits it(as they charge £1.5k extra), I am under the impression the only changes is the battery and made a few settings on the controller. My question is if I bought a new 48v battery and I changed the setting as above would it work as the uprated limited version ?

adjusting handlebar stem height quickly on a bike
As per previous post I have made a wheelchair into a trike for a disabled chappy. The thing is he needs to occasionally adjust the stem height of his handlebars quickly when about to make a sharp turn in a confined space. This will enable the handle bar ends come over the top of his knees when turning. Once he has turned they can be dropped again. It is a standard 22.2mm wedge type stem with a long centre bolt. Has anyone ever seen this with a quick release lever on the top (such as you might get for attaching bike wheels)? Ideally there will be a stem manufactured for this, but I cant seem to find one even with the aid of google. I would be grateful for any advice

Heinzmann Battery, what is it
I have a new Heinzmann battery like : http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_RESKpuv1PVA/SYm-x5mjjQI/AAAAAAAAASU/rwxAGuBb1bE/s1600/battery.bmp I'm told it is 9.6amph/hr, Li-ion, but am unsure on the exact chemisty. Can anyone help me here. The reason I want to know is to determine the best way to store them. Someone told me in a fridge @ 4C 40% charge. Does this sound right ? Also these are expensive, is there any alternative makes that are comptable with the heinzmann digital controller and digital throttle ?

Heinzmann front hub motor
I have converted my brother's manual wheelchair into a trike which basically involves mounting the front half of a 'shopper bike' to his wheelchair which then raises the front wheels. I have now electrified this by the addition of a Heinzmann 53 nm front hub motor onto the the 20" wheel. I would like to add disc brakes to this, it only does 12mph so the brakes are really more for cosmetic reasons. Does anyone know if I can get a disc to bolt onto the heinzmann motor ? It will have to be approx 225mm and bolt onto six bolts spaced around the outside of this hub at very approximately 180mm diameter. ie it is not of iso standard In addition there is no mounting place for the calliper on the front fork. I could weld the right bits on, but this would mean re-powder coating these forks again. I understand there are clamps that bolt onto the forks, anyone recommened one and do they all come in the same sizes ? Incidentally it looks as if there will only be 10 - 12mm from the inside edge of the forks to where the disc will go. Is this enough ? I look forward to anyone's advice on this, I dont know a great deal about bikes !
