  1. Having come from motorbike riding of 30 years throttles are second nature and it is difficult not to treat the bike as such. But I do try to keep speeds sensible for a cycle. Out of interest is it possible to register an ebike as a motorised 2 wheeler, plates lights etc.?
  2. Fair point, but even at full throttle it didn't seem to "lock" onto full. I'll take a look at that tomorrow. I assume the jumpers are found on the controller. I also have a spare half throttle I can try on the off chance it's that. Not sure I fancy a locking device while riding on the road haha!!
  3. I'm sure plenty of people have the guts to tell me, it is quite easy after all as there is little to no confrontation in online arguing. More likely, no one cares and is more interested in helping a fellow forum member solve a query. I'm off to burn my collection of C90 cassettes from the 80s charts...just in case...
  4. Well, after a bit of testing, also known as riding to work, I have found that holding a constant throttle at various speeds doesn't seem to trigger Cruise Control. It seems to work like CC but pretty much only at full throttle, give or take a little, and is easily stopped. But it would be nice to stop it. Maybe a different controller would solve it.
  5. I haven't fitted PAS yet, so only throttle and plenty of pedaling! But when I get the tool to remove crane arms I will fit it to give all options.
  6. Hmm that's interesting. I believe it's deliberate and don't think replacing the throttle is going to solve it. On my ride tomorrow I'll try holding it for 8 seconds and see how it goes. Were you able to turn it off?
  7. I was wondering if it was a cruise control. The display is SW900 I've looked through the settings and couldn't find one for cruise control on the sw900 nor do I remember there being any jumper switches on the controller when I assembled it, but that I'd need to double check .
  8. Hello, Pretty much as the title suggests. When riding, sometimes the throttle stays open on full power and the Watt reading also goes to full. With a quick flick of the wrist, this is stopped, and throttle resolution returns to normal. This isn't much of a problem for me as I detect it pretty quickly and react straight away, plus even from 1000Watt motor there isn't much power and spool up time is pretty low. But I do want to get it fixed and running smoothly. I believe is only happens when dropping back from full not part throttle. simon
