  2. Hi Guerney, Have you any experience of buying padded cycling shorts? I’ve got a gel saddle, I thought something to match might be a good investment?! Bill.
  3. Hi Guerney, You’re so right! It’s knowing the weight you should be when you, consistently, do exercises. As someone said about young horses, in the Grand National, they’re not as strong as the older ones! That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it! Thanks for your reply, Bill.
  4. Hi, It’s a few months since my last reply. Sorry but tonight is my first ride this year! A lovely evening in Blackpool. My Fiido X is working fine. It’s so long since I started it up that I needed to watch the startup video on YouTube! I’ve just been up the two steepest hills while seated and in the first setting; my legs felt the burn! I’ve lost 2 stones since Christmas, so that’s 3 altogether. I hope I can lose a bit more with my bike and diet. I’ve tried to post a video with this but I have forgotten how! I’ll post again soon. Thanks for all your posts advising me. Regards, Bill.
  5. Hello Guerney, I’ve emailed Fiido, China is 8 hours ahead of us so I’m hoping they’ll reply late tomorrow morning our time. They were quite good at responding. I’ll let you know as soon as I know. Regards, Bill.
  6. I forgot to show you the picture.
  7. Hi guys, This is an update. As you know, I had to send my Fiido X back because of a broken frame. Fiido’s service was good, they replaced it in good time. I had it checked over at my local bike shop except for actually turning the bike on, because I didn’t give them the code. Today I took it on my first foray into ebike cycling only to find that it won’t switch on! Try as I might it wouldn’t work although the battery light was on. According to the instructions, I entered the code to no avail; then I noticed that, when the seat clamp is fully depressed, one side fully engages but, clearly, the other side does not. The display doesn’t light up and the motor doesn’t power the bike when cycling. I am going to persist in trying to get it working but I have emailed Fiido. To cap it all, Vive Scooters went out of business while I was dealing with the first fault! I’ve left a message on their answering machine but I’m not hopeful. I am so disappointed, the bike looks good but it has problems. Regards, B1ll.
  8. Guerney, The battery is coming on Monday. I’ve got a comfy saddle to put on, then I’ll be on the road! Regards, Bill.
  9. It was in 6th gear before, 7th now. Thanks, Bill.
  10. Matthew, It looks, to my inexperienced eye, more like I’d expect. What do you think? Regards, Bill.
  11. Hi, Thanks for your reply.
  12. It’s not going on the road until I know it’s ok! Regards, Bill.
  13. Hello all, After having to return my Fiido X V2, Fiido have sent a replacement, from China, and it’s fine. Saying it’s fine, why is the rear derailleur like that? See photo:
  14. Hi, Does anyone recommend a clear waterproof lacquer paint to prevent the bright screw heads from rusting as I’ve seen on the Smithy YouTube channel? Thanks, Bill.
  15. The carrier was FedEx but the box showed no sign of maltreatment at all. Bill.
  16. Hi all, I don’t intend to put the bike through any harsh treatment such as I’ve seen on YouTube eg: skids and jumps or sleeping policemen even. It is concerning. I’ll keep you posted. Thanks for your input. Bill.
