Hi, can anyone tell me if it is possible to upgarde my carrera crosscity ebike, meaning putting on a throttle and a bigger controller and battery so i don't have to be limited to the slow stock 15.5mph speed limit. It uses Halfords own controller which is very tiny like about 3'' by 2'' in size and dosn't give much humph for your money. Thanks for any advice.

Can anyone please tell me why bafang don't show prices on there website. I think it is so they can charge higher or lower price for for the same item and people will not be no wiser.

Hi, i am wanting to learn about contorller motherboards and was wondering if anyone could explain what the pin codes mean on the board like HW-HV-HU-5V-VCC and so on. As i realy would like to get to know more about how ebikes work and posible modding controllers. Any help is appreciated thanks PS some pictures would be great, thanks again for any help.

It's on the bottom bracket (the pedal crank) its a disc with little magnets, but you can't change anything from here it is just a magnetic sensor.

You are very lucky if this is a bafang motor as they are expensive and have gears.

It was a new kit, but the strange thing is that everything works as it should but the display doesn't seem to do anything but just turn it on.

Hi, could anyone please tell me why my display will do nothing but turn on the bike and that is it. Let me explane, the bike will turn on with the display but it won't do anything else. It dosn't tell me what speed i'm doing nor does the pedal assist have any affect, everything is new and it's a self build not a factory built. Everything works as normal like i can use pedal assist and the throttle but it just dosn't do anything on the display apart from turn it on. I have tried to use a different display but it still does the same, very confusing. Can anyone shed any light on this situation. Any help is greatly appresiated thanks.

Hi, i have just purchesed a ebike kit from ebay, only a cheap 250w. i installed it and it worked okay but only very slowley, about 6mph so i tried to change the parameters on the cycle computer (SW900A) but know the bike dosn't work at all. I put the parameters back to default as on the instructions but still it dosn't work. My kit is a cheap front wheel hub motor with a 48v battery.Only had a week and not even been out of the house with it yet. Any help would be greatley appresiated thanks.
