48v battery, which to buy?
Thank you! Their 720Wh downtube battery for £340 all-in looks promising. I'll be messaging them

48v battery, which to buy?
Price, torque sensing, allegedly better than the Tongsheng equivalent. I understand the potential warranty issues. The vast majority of DIY kits are illegal & I understand the risks. What kit would you recommend that is legal?

48v battery, which to buy?
I bought the motor from their own AliExpress store: 'ToSeven Motors Store' Thanks, I've heard of PSW power batteries but wasn't sure of the quality

48v battery, which to buy?
I'm currently looking for a 48v battery to go with a ToSeven 500w mid drive kit. First & foremost I'm looking for a high quality, well made battery. I'd love an em3ev battery from Eclipse Bikes but they've been out of stock for ages. Ebikebatteries(.co.uk) have sadly had to stop trading. I'm currently looking at GreenCell or Dillinger batteries, the latter being much more expensive but may be worth it? - The GreenCell battery claims to be assembled in Poland & has a 30a BMS. 696Wh is £270. No mention of which cells are used. - The Dillinger uses Panasonic/Sanyo cells in their 672Wh NT battery which has a is priced at £479+mount & charger. Is the latter really worth over £200 more? Any advice or other recommendations appreciated.

Compatible PAS for Brainpower controller?
Yes I ended up buying a new controller & display. All working now including all the pas sensors I'd bought so the other controller must be faulty

Compatible PAS for Brainpower controller?
Many thanks! I've tried this and got no drive at all doing either test

Compatible PAS for Brainpower controller?
Ok so I swapped the red & blue cable over today, ONE of my pas sensors now works and in the correct direction only, but pedals still have to be turning very fast before any drive is provided. I've messed with parameters and not managed to make any difference. I think this controller is just duff unless anyone has any ideas? Thanks

Compatible PAS for Brainpower controller?
Unless the controller is wired incorrectly internally, I've 100% connected the PAS to the correct connector. See pic below. This being said, the manual shows the PAS connector (the female connector, left in pic) being wired as; red= +5v, black= ground (0v), and blue= signal. I've tested at the connector and found red to black tests as 4.2v, black to blue however tests at 5v? Weird.

Compatible PAS for Brainpower controller?
It's definitely connected correctly, I've read the manual

Compatible PAS for Brainpower controller?
Hi all, Having a nightmare getting PAS to work properly with a Brainpower controller. I've tried a 12 magnet type which works however drive is activated whether pedalling forwards or backwards, regardless of which way the disc or pickup is orientated. I've since tried an 8 magnet with the same results plus the sensitivity is very low i.e. pedals have to be turning very fast for any drive to happen. I set the magnet number parameter (P13) correctly for each type. Do Brainpower controllers require a specific type of pas?

XF07 Hub & Brainpower S866 Issues
Many thanks, really appreciate the info. I think the motor has a built in speed sensor? So as well as the three phase cables, there are 6 other cables coming from the motor... hall sensors- yellow, green & blue, and as you've mentioned, red, black and white. This tallies up with the Brainpower controller and is how I've connected it up, colour to colour. I'll have another look at the motor when I get chance

XF07 Hub & Brainpower S866 Issues
Ah I realise I've explained poorly! When set to 1, the speedometer does read when coasting but it shows far too fast. Setting P07 to 2, 3 or 4 doesn't seem to make any difference to that inaccuracy, but I do still get a readout when coasting. Setting to 5+ I get no reading when coasting

XF07 Hub & Brainpower S866 Issues
Ah thank you, that makes sense re the speed sensor magnets. Assuming this only has one, but I guess I can test that if can find a wiring diagram for the motor?

Does anyone actually use the term 'Pedelec'?
Interesting. I know a few people with e-bikes now and have never heard the term Pedelec. Usually it's ebike, eeb or digital bike

XF07 Hub & Brainpower S866 Issues
Hi all, currently renovating a Swifty foldable ebike which came to me with a dead controller amongst other issues. I've replaced the controller with a Brainpower unit and S866 display. I've just about got it working but having a nightmare with the speedometer readout. The speed is displayed when pedal assisting, but when coasting it reads 0. Weirdly the speed readout always works when spinning the wheel in reverse (regardless of P07, see below)? I've set Parameter P07 to 1 which fixes the issue, but this is not how P07 should be set as it's a geared hub and I think has 10 magnets with a ratio of 4.4 so P07 should be set to 44... This means the speedometer is about accurate, but then no speed is displayed when coasting! I don't know where to go from here.

Hi all! Jokey title aside, I own 4 e-bikes already, three off the shelf and one conversion. Currently getting more into the conversion/custom built side of things. Hoping to learn a thing or two here and hopefully help others out at some point. Cheers!
