Hi thank you so much for your help and information but saying that it is what happens when a question is asked on this great forum the help is always forthcoming so i think all things being considered i would ask around £ 500 pounds for it only because whatever battery is fitted it will be virtually a new bike but saying that i cant guarantee the battery that is with the bike at the moment it still charges and pushes the bike round the road like it always did .

Hi jca 100 thanks for your interest as you can see on the post above i am just waiting for a reply from Cyclezee as to his appraisal of the bike and what he thinks it is worth i can assure you that it is all genuine what you see is indeed the bike at this moment ...thanks

Hi thanks for tho's kind words , could i impose on your good self to maybe give me a figure as to what the bike might be worth ? as i dont think there is anybody more qualified to do so on this particular bike , the pictures that you see were taken two days ago and that is how the bike looks now, the battery also seems fine i have always kept it in a charged state through the winter months , for a bike of that age i think it is in remarkable condition but only because of my medical problem it didn't get ridden that much in fact it has not done more than two hundred miles if that ! thanks

  15. What a shocker didn't see that coming a sad day indeed my first bike was a Gents 2 and ye i to wish them all the best
  16. With you on that one Flecc maybe a few weeks then gently ease myself onto the saddle and try to avoid the potholes they are numerous round here .
  17. Hi Flecc yes i am perusing the new forum getting a feel for it oh this winter well the wife and i still aint right since new years eve cough cough cough i thought my number was up i have never felt so rough it was a bad old bug that was going around but still here to tell the tale . Now then where is that battery of mine should be ok even tho its not getting much use of late .
  18. Hi Flecc nice to hear from you makes me feel at home, not back in saddle as yet gotta see how that works out mind you it keeps the bike looking just like new i dont think its done more than a couple of hundred miles if that .How are you keeping ? i must say the forum is all very shiny and new .
  19. Hi all goodly Pedelec folks just back on after a major absence and just look at this forum now i am most impressed all is well now had a bit of a medical issue but thats life any road up its great to be back hope i find you all well ? cheers n beers T.J.
  20. Just found these few lines regardin Lithium-ion Batts.Reports from the Fire Prevention Research Institute and the FAA indicate that lithium ion battery fires do not require a Class D extinguisher—water works effectively to extinguish the flames and cool the cells to prevent further thermal runaway. So it seems we can at least use a hose or similar on the brutes .
  21. Hi Flecc might have known you would be the first to come back with some words of wisdom, was just wondering all tho's other batt. failures did they all fail while being charged ? i am keen to know as i keep my batt. in the house in cupboard under the stairs also i charge it indoors not having a decent shed to keep bits and pieces in the only consolation is it is a good batt. from the Ezee stable but i spose that aint no guarantee
  22. Another thought just occured we have dealers on this forum i wonder what there policy is for storing li. batts they must have many on there premises
  23. Fire extinguisher good idea but so rar as i understand it water and Lithium do not mix i would imagine co2 or dry powder would be the order of the day perhaps any members out there might give us not so clued up peeps a few tips on looking after and handling li. batts in a safe way
  24. b73 for me please
