  1. All the parts I have bought are Yose to solve my display problem (large black line across the screen) and there CS said they would be compatible with my original kit. The controller, connected to the battery is the original. It should not be an issue. The motor is 350W, and all cables that came with the display are of course the same fitting. They are all a matching fi by the same Company, yet a drop off of power from level 3 is therefore surprising. My friend who built this for me, has the same controller and motor on his bike, and he is going to swap them over when he has time and see if he can isolate the problem. He is puzzled about the set voltage problem I described. No faults show on the display.
  2. Thanks for your reply. I did talk to Yose about the C500, because the the original type that came with the Kit is no longer made. I was assured this C500 would work, and would work with the existing units and cables, but it hasn't. The power drop in level 4 and 5 is a puzzle. I hesitate to change the motor to see if this is the solution.
  3. I bought a new battery and C500 for my electric bike a few months ago, because the display provided at purchase (3 years ago) failed. Since I installed these 2 parts, the power delivery has altered a lot. In power levels 1 to 3 in the display, the bikes power is the same as before. When 4 or 5 is selected only a small increase in power is noticed, and the noise from the motor changes only slightly. The Bike has a throttle slide that enables full power even when the pedals are stationary. This results in a power output to the wheels around level 3, and not level 5 as before. In the User Settings "Menu 4.1.5 SET5: Voltage settings (36V/48V)" the window is blank and cannot be changed. Other people have mentioned this in other forums, and it seems to me this is not changeable and probably not a fault. Does anyone know why this lack of power in levels 4 and 5 is so reduced? It is not worth going past level 3 anymore.
