  1. Great info from you all Cheers Folks.
  2. I must weigh the spare knapp battery it’s heavy enough in the backpack with my waters and essentials I carry my wife laughs and says I look like flick from the bugs life movie
  3. Yes a lot of battery lucky my knapp is well built and takes the weight well as it is a legal two seater knapp ams black edition 250 all batteries are 36 volt with a three way splitter/ balancer so I can have all 3 on at same time and it will draw power draw power from the highest charge one then balance between them or I can use individually by switching only one on at a time this I prefer but if I am on a big hills I use all three at the same time it seems to give more power/torq but not speed. I am thinking of putting 48 volt batteries on it at some point but will probably need to change the controller.
  4. Funny you should mention ikea I was coming from a ride out Sunday with a pal and be on cycle path that runs past newcastles metro centre ikea when we was almost forced off the cycle path by 9 suron type illegal ebikes travelling at speed all riders hooded and masked up these are the idiots giving ebikes a bad name .
  5. yes I would be wanting to carry with me on the bike I have 3x 20ah fitted already but undeseat one is a slideout so I have a spare for this a original knaap 20ah with Samsung cells i carry this with me in a backpack when doing long trips my range is about 100 miles if pushing but 120 if careful with the batteries.
  6. Many moons ago I did motocross racing with a camper and trying to be a good camper I bought a kipor sine wave silent generator with built in inverter the trouble was every now and then some bob the builder would park near us and pull out a four stroke site generator that was like a tractor then they would get the beers out and fall asleep Genny still running til 1am or until sugar went in not by me I may add
  7. Thanks for the replies , I won’t mind camping couple of days while charging this is a kit I looked at a few months back https://electrifybike.com/products/solar-200-watt-ebike-battery-charger-sun200 I think there are better versions now ?
  8. Hi I hope you don’t mind if I jump in here as my question is simular, I am looking to charge 20ah Ebike batteries off grid using portable solar kit the fold out ones but they seem very expensive atm so any suggestions would be appreciated. My pal has an adapter that can use ev charge stations but I want to do some wild camping and charge so don’t mind waiting longer than the usual 4 hours .
  9. Well I was out today did 44 miles and changed the bell sound to the referees whistle ha ha worked a treat with the earbud/headphone and dog brigade that’s me happy for now
  10. Both our electronic bells are 120db i did have the100db but thought the 120 might work better , perhaps it’s time to change to the loud whistle sound .
  11. dam them all ha ha ha I find the skinny tire Lycra clad ones a pain too they fly past me in swarms
  12. both my wife’s and mine have a bell also a humorus electronic bell that does clown car sounds and a few others so we are putting the effort in to be nice to others it just seems lately that the effort is wasted sometimes. I was even moaned at a few weeks back coming from tynemouth I rang the bell several times no reaction then I had to stop and was told my bell is to quiet the dog walker had bloody earbuds in and was listening to music but the dog heard me coming
  13. I purchased a 48 volt 25ah battery direct from pspower and price was very good and I would not be calling them scammers as all was great with the item/price/service all outstanding and I will be buying again from them.
