Fat bloke on a folder
Hello I'm looking to get a folder. At the present I have a Cube with a Bosch mid hub? Drive. I'm looking for a folder to take away in my caravan. The problem is I weigh 20st/ 130 kg. A lot of folder by design have a lower weight limit, the only ones I can see are the E-Go Max and Max+ from eco bike with 150 kg limit. Any suggestions gratefully received.

Battery charging, how often
Think even more I'll go to the pub to charge my battery

Battery charging, how often
Thanks for the advice most reassuring, I suppose if I got caught short so to speak while out and about. As of tomorrow of course I could always call for lunch or the pub for a couple of hours and charge up.

Battery charging, how often
Thanks for this. I'm hoping to use it a least several times a week. Like I said I'm new to this and suffering from range anxiety. I would be stuffed if the battery went as all roads to home are uphill and my knees are shot.

Battery charging, how often
Advice please. How often should I charge my battery? It's a new bike and at present I'm charging it when I return from a ride. The battery is about half full or a little more. I tried searching but there are many posts with the words battery and charging

Heavy Newbie Help.....
Hi Kazvet As another new convert to ebiking and also looking to lose weight, good luck on your journey. Firstly I'd say it's difficult to eat anything substantial whilst riding. So even the act of cycling helps beside the loss of a few of a few calories and the release of the endorphins. On the tyre front I was under the impression that the higher tyre pressures reduced the likely hood of " pinch punctures". I had more punctures on my mountain bike running 2.25in at 45psi than my road bike running 1in tyres at 100psi. Was a lot lighter then though only 100kg.

Second day, changes already
After my second ride yesterday on my new Cube hybrid one 400, only ten miles in total I decided that I needed to change the saddle. Digging around in my garage I found my old Brooks saddle. It hadn't been used for at least 5 years, probably more and hadn't been treated over this period. Bi question, was would it need breaking in again So fitted it, easy actually as it was still on the stem, gritted teeth and off for a 10 mile ride. In my opinion it was like the day I last used it. Oh and fitted a bottle cage. Also I manage to ride up hills I couldn't manage without stopping 10 years ago. Bearing in mind I'm almost 64, well overweight, 18 and a half stone with arthritic knees. Definitely made the right decision to get an ebike this could be a new era.

Nothing like binding your time
I’ve only ridden it on the road yet but I have to agree about carrying it about. Had a bit of a shock when I collected it from my local bike shop.

Nothing like binding your time
Hello I've been browsing the forum for many years and finally taken the plunge. I haven't been able to ride my unassisted bikes for about 5 years now. So today I went out tried a few bikes and my wife bought me one for my birthday. What a revelation I've ridden 8 miles which may not seem far to many but to me it's amazing. I'm sure I'll be lurking for many more years. Thanks for all the information gleaned at others expense.
