Panasonic 18 Ah battery?
Ok, thanks for the information! I have now understand from your answers that these Rixe/Kalkhoff 18 Ah batteries also cost in Britain some 630 euros and can not be found cheaper. To that price I can now a days also bay such a battery from Finland. So, I will bay this greater battery from my own supplier in Tampere, Finland. Best Regards Kentsu

How to connect an ebike headlight to a Panasonic pedelec?
Hi, My wife have a German Rixe Bordeaux G8 pedelec with a Schimano hub-dynamo (nabendynamo) and a Busch&Müller headlight. The problem is that this B&M light is very powerless with this hub-dynamo. To get a better headlight on this e-bike I have thought to replace this B&M light with a Philips Saferide Ebike light or some similar headlight that take the power from the ebike battery. But the problem is, how and where do I connect this ebike light to the Panasonic battery of the pedelec? Philips | New in Europe

Panasonic 18 Ah battery?
Ok, but I think some 600-700 euros are very too much for an 18 Ah Pedelec battery! So, please if you know some substitutes for this very expensive Panasonic 18 Ah Pedelec battery, then please tell me and other Kalkhoff and Rixe users!

Observing bikes in Amsterdam
Ok, because Finland is a "semidemocratic" country, we have not banned these Segways and similar equipments. Our outhuritys can use these and also some other national important groups.

Observing bikes in Amsterdam
Ok, but how with the now a days so popular Segways, I don't think they have two brakes? Are they allowed in your country? In my country our police use these: http://www.hs.fi/kuvat/iso_webkuva/horizontal/1135235622614.jpeg

So also in Finland. All our traditional bikes have only one brake and it is in the one gear rear hub and you engage the brake by pedaling slight backwards.

Panasonic 18 Ah battery?
Thank you for your advices. But I think this battery ordered from Britain is still very expensive. The delivery to Finland is £50, so the total cost is still round 650 €.

Observing bikes in Amsterdam
Hi, I also was a couple of weeks ago in Copenhagen and there are also hundreds of thousends bikes. This is because the infrastructure of Copenhagen is made to favor bikes in stead of cars! In Copenhagen there where also not so many pedelecs, but I think more than in Amsterdam. About 5% of the citybikes in Copenhagen where some sort of pedelecs and there where also a large number of three wheels load carrying bikes, which almost all had electric motors. But in the Copenhagen downtown I also saw many Segways! In Finland we don't have any of these Segways, because they are not allowed for road use in my country. Do you have Segways in Britain?

Hellou, from Finland
Hellou, Yes we have in Finland some very beatiful cycling paths and many minor roads very suitable for biking as they are non paved, so there do not drive many cars! Formerly in Finland we also had many bicycle manufactures, abouth 10-15. But now a days we have onlý Helkama! All the others have gone forever or then they have transformed their productions to China. This is very sad! Best Regards Kentsu Helsinki, Finland

Hellou, from Finland
Hi every body! I am from Finland, Helsinki and they call me "Kentsu". The reason that I joined your forum is that in Finland we do not have any electric bike discussion forums, we only have a lot of forums concerning road bikes etc. So, I have many topics that I would like to discuss with people that are familiar with e-bikes. That is not possible in my country, they do not understand upon electrik bike filosophy! I myself have a Rixe Nancy S 2010 (same as in Great Britain Kalkhoff Pro Connect S) and my wife have a Rixe Bordeaux G8 2009. My own Nancy S bike is in Finland a little bit illegal due to its motor effenciency and handthrottle, but my wife's pedelec is completely legal! Best Regards Kentsu (magnuken)
