I know, I thought he was joking, but he said it was a head office decision on oxygen bikes

I am totally torn, Halfords are going to let me have a 30 min test drive for a penny, Wilco who stock the oxygen said I have to buy the bike in full and I can have a test drive however if I don’t want the bike I will have to buy 2 tyres to replace the ones on there!!! The guy at halford said they had not sold a single Crossfuse (price I am guessing) as everyone goes for the cheaper hub Carrera at £1200... I am guessing the Carrera is better as it uses the Bosch, but the rest of the bike seems ‘meh’ and it has a crappy display for such a expensive bike... The Oxygen is a looker no doubt...I am totally torn as I won’t be able to test ride the Oxygen as nowwhere near me stocks them apart from Wilco... Any advice gratefully received

Hi Andy I am close to pulling the trigger on the oxygen A couple of questions... my local shop has one but 300 more than the internet, would you advise to get local for the 1 year warranty? Also it says on the internet you can de restrict the oxygen using code 12 on the display, have you done this, did you notice any performance boost if you did?

Nice advert on ebay mate in my experience you are better starting the bid off @ 99p (you dont get charged listing) and you then get lots of bids, which in itself attracts attention, and pull the auction (12 hours beofre it closes) if you are not getting near what you want.. I know that sounds daft, but my Mother sold her e-bike, she first put a buy it now at £320, never got a sniff, I told her to relist at 99p and she did, and got bids up to £400....

Hi Guys My Mother recently bought a new Powabyke, she is really thrilled with it (she is 70 so anything faster than 5MPH was going to be ok) I tried it and found it's hill climbing abilty really poor, and could not make it up a hill with me on without a lot of input from me, but I do weigh 16st, she now wants to buy my father one (roughly the same weight as me) and I have said I feel there is better bikes out there... The problem is she only paid £500 for a brand new one (a bit of a bargain it seemed)... is there anything about the £500 mark that would be better?

I could not agree more, but if they become infamous for having the bikes nicked they will die before it gets going... It would need to have some real top security, like a massive D'clamp that is welded into the car

Be very surprised if that comes out, like most good ideas (and it is a cracking idea) it is ruined by criminals, you will have them cracking the boots of these cars to get at the bikes, like they do when they scan for laptops in boots of cars

the funniest bit is a 4.40 on that video when he tries to go uphill on that muddy slope... it just goes to show they are just trying to make a buck (no issue with that) but whilst that video is amusing it is also concerning as you have probably got no chance of support

The problem is they are very clever, as they fit a kill switch, so the moment the old bill pull you up, one would hit the kill switch and it would be up to the police to prove you had been using it, and if you are pretending to pedal as well, the level of proof needed would be almost impossible to gain

the whole auction makes no sense, I am not even sure what you are buying. It is terribly broken english If you look at the kit page I posted the seller clearly puts it is very illegal in the UK

I am sorely tempted by this, even @ £699, I wonder if there is any movement on price if you call them up to pay by credit card, so they avoid all the ebay fees? It is so hard to decide as most of the negative posts are from sellers of other bikes, which on one hand makes you think they feel threatened. Any other members have one who are not affliated with another e-bike?
