  1. StrangeFish started following BrizzleBoy
  2. ...We have found him Flecc! Aldby is the one who has a picture of you ,(dressed in black, of course), pinned to a wall in his garden shed surrounded by candles and other curious bits and pieces-old cycle parts I think!!!
  3. Ahhhh.. San Francisco, flowers in your hair, etc.. but , hang on, I think that was all a bit later come to think of it...
  4. ...lke I said mb, yer "shot away"-har,har
  5. ..You're "shot away" musicbooks, you really are...
  6. Thanks Keithhazel, Frank9755, and Ian for your replies..
  7. ..Yeah, thanks F.P! I wasn't thinking of buying just yet anyway,(having just bought an Agattu). But I am interested in anything new with regard to leccy folders - my wife fancies one. But as you are aware, there isn't much on the market at present, and certainly no such thing as the "definitive" leccy folder! I would imagine there are quite a few others amongst us waiting to see what the industry produces. As I see it, the main issues are gearing and overall weight. I can't remember what Flecc did with regard to gearing on his "Q" bike now, but if he is not too happy with the arrangement himself, I can see the resolution being some way off yet!! 'Bye for now.
  8. Hi everyone! New folder recently launched by GreenEdge! It's called the "Silverado", and from what I can see, it looks pretty decent. Mind you, the only photo on the web site shows it folded, so can't really tell. The spec. list sounds fairly impressive though. Along with the rest of the gear it has: Rear hub motor. Shimano 6spd. gears. 20" wheels. Retails at £799 from The Electric Transport Shop(Cambridge). Does any one know much about GreenEdge products, because until I saw this, I had never heard of them ? I'm going to do a little surfing before I turn in, and see if I can find a proper photograph or two. Sorry I can't provide a link, I don't know how to do that yet. Best Regards.
  9. Hi Lloyd! ..Have just got back from work. Thanks for that, will have a bite to eat, and pop out and have a look. Your suggestion sounds like a distinct possibility 'Bye for now
  10. Yes, I think that's the case Flecc, but as I say, I shall have to take the bike out again so that I can be more specific when I come back to the forum. Well, I am off to bed now, thanks for your interest and encouragement, and my thanks go to essexman and musicbooks also, G'night
  11. Hi musicbooks! Well I am a bit all over the place at present, and whilst I am trying to do everything right, I am probably not pausing very much between gear changes at the mo'. But I have to say if you had been with me trying to follow my son last night, mixing up the terrain as we were proceeding - you would probably have understood why I was rushing the changes! I had to laugh at your description of yourself, almost exactly like I felt when I got back from that ride with my son last night. I ended up with a Sprite instead of a beer though..rats!! Cheers for now mb.
  12. Hi essexman ! Yeah, thanks for advice, will kick the ideas around a bit more first, but will probably end up 'phoning 50c in the end. I like the prediction for when I start commuting,(made I chuckle-lots). Monday and Tuesday are probably just a tad over- optimistic however 'Bye for now.
  13. Hi Flecc! Yes, the clicking seems to occur every 2 or 3 revolutions and there is no variation in volume or intensity, but it is very audible and of course, quite annoying! It is also regular and not "erratic". It did not vary in any way when applying force at different levels. I shall have to take it out again Flecc, probably tomorrow evening, so that I can be more specific about what is going on. Thanks for now anyway, be in touch soon, All the best.
  14. Hi Guys'n'gals! ..Not started commuting to work on my Agattu just yet!! My son took me out and about locally in order to get me used to cycling again after all the intervening years. Unbelievable how many lanes and alleyways there are around here! My son thought it was absolutely essential that I cover as mainy different types of terrain in as short a space of time as possible,(we had an hour). We did all this and it was ok-ish! At my age, weight, and poor level of fitness however, I am not at all sure how I'm gonna feel in the morning :o Anyway, when I switched the power on, a clicking noise could be heard coming from the bottom bracket or motor,(think it must be the motor),as I was pedalling along. When I switched the power off, the clicking ceased ! Most odd, anyone any ideas as to what this might be please? Regards, StrangeFish
  15. Hi Erik ..What a beauty! I would love to own one like that. How old would you say that bike is? With that battery, It looks recent doesn't it? Regards, StrangeFish
  16. Hi Mandy! Yes you are quite right of course, I was being mischevious. I knew no one would take it up so soon after the last episode... ..I went to Halfords yesterday, and eventually ordered a Titanium coloured "Bel" helmet with innovative back adjustment, for £26. I say ordered, because they didn't have one in stock apart from the display model! Halfords are gonna give me a call when it comes in. Was that baseball type helmet you saw in a previous thread the one that came with the rain cover and little mirror that attaches to the helmet to see behind-as it were?
