Another question on LED bike lighting systems
I bought one of these. It doesn't fit my TRIKE 20. You are welcome to it for the cost of postage. It would make a useful source of cheap LEDs.

Overunity Generators? Really? Nope, NOT!

Which arrived today, directly from BATRIBIKE Great service!

Annoying click
yes, they are sending a new pair. :-)

Annoying click
That's it, it's the pedal itself Off to velospeed for a new one........
-
Annoying click
Checked the chain.... No problems. Now looking for spanner to remove pedal! The TRIKE is a front wheel drive, so I can't get stranded unless I run out of battery :)
-
Annoying click
I think you are right, I need to talk to Velospeed......... I'll see if I can sort a spare pedal first though.....

Annoying click
my first thought was pedal bearing. surely not after a couple of weeks?
-
Annoying click
Hi jackhandy, I can't feel any play in the main crank bearings at any part of the revolution, so I ass-u-me so /\/\

Annoying click
Hi Martin. Sounds plausible, if I knew what you were referring to . I am totally new to ebikes. Don't s'pose you can link me to a picture of what it might look like? Thanks for trying to help. /\/\

Annoying click
HI Jazper53, Hmmm.... see what you are saying and I definitely wasn't thinking chain or cog, so worth a look. The click is there on every crank revolution, so I was assuming it wouldn't be the chain but it can, of course be the cog. Having said that, the click really does feel as if it is inside the pedal itself. In the cold light of tomorrow I'll check out the cog itself. Thanks for your help. Rgds, /\/\

Annoying click
Ah well, after a couple of weeks, my brand new BATRIBIKE TRIKE has developed a really annoying click when pedalling. The click is very loud and distinct and always occurs at the same crank position on the left hand pedal. I can definitely hear and indeed feel it in the pedal itself when pushing hard. However, when I get off the bike there is no play in the pedal bearing or the main crank bearings at the point where the click occurs! How can this be? Any ideas from the engineers amongst us? /\/\

Help.....What Tablet.....
I have a bottom end IPad2 (16GB) and never had any issues with storage. So I would advise not to waste your money on more space or 3G. I also have a £120 chinese Android 10" tablet which is pretty good once you realise that the stock Browser supplied with it is pants and you need to use Opera Mini instead. If I was pushed for cash, I'd go for the Chinese AMPE A10 (available in many guises!). Otherwise I think you are going to go for the IPad.

Hi from Warfield, Berks.
Looks very neat! Great job

Hi from Warfield, Berks.
Hi Geoff, I know there are many electrical experts on here and I ain't one of them, so please excuse the naive question. Can't a 450W motor be run as a 350W motor? SDoesn't that entail just reducing the voltage under which it runs? It's probably not as simple as P = V x I with a three phase motor but is there a way of modding the controller / battery to get the desired result?

Anyone for a conspiricy theory.
I'm sorry, but IMHO all of these in-car hydrogen production system will have literally no effect. The volume of hydrogen gas produced is pitiful. I believe, if one is to run on hydrogen alone (which any suitably adjusted car engine can do), the ideal fuel/air ratio is something like 2.4 : 1 by volume i.e. (someone correct me if I'm wrong) for every revolution of a one litre swept volume engine it will consume approximately 1 litre of air and 1/2.4 litres of hydrogen. Thats for a single revolution! At 2000 revs, it's 2000 times as much! These in-car units are merely producing a slow bubbing of inflammable gas, the worth of which will be nullified by ambient air pressure and temperature changes. Even if used to "boost" a normally fuelled engine there can never be any gain. The energy to produce the hydrogen has to come out of the battery and that gets charged by the engine. There ain't no such thing as a free lunch! The only way to directly use Hydrogen gas in a normal car at the moment is to produce it at home and pressurise it and store it in a cylinder in the car. This is expensive and dangerous technology! In the future there will be electric vehicles which use a Fuel Cell to utilise hydrogen gas to produce electricity directly. As we have in the International Space Station now. Check out to see what James May had to say...... Rgds, /\/\

Anyone for a conspiricy theory.
+1 on this. First get your Hydrogen - not easy or cheap to do at home in sufficient quantities. If the motor industry would invest in a centralised hydrogen production and distribution network instead of battery vehicles then existing cars/motorbikes could use this as fuel until fuel cell vehicles became commonplace.

Hi, not a cyclist......
I heartily recommend VeloSpeed Well, having been advised by John at Velospeed that a Batribike Trike might suit my needs, tried to find one in stock "dahn sarff" to no avail. A call to Velospeed elicited the info that they were prepared to drive down to sunny Horndean from north of Newbury, with the only one they had in stock. For the princely sum of £30 which I reckon is a bargain. Nick of Velospeed duly arrived today with the bike fully prepped and charged, ready to go. A quick troll around my cul-de-sac with the tilting mechanism locked caused me to doubt my ability to ride even a three wheeler! Nick was very concerned, but I assured him I would be fine. As he reluctantly drove away, I discovered my mistake and, by unlocking the tilt, I managed to get on just fine . Thanks Nick and Velospeed!!! Excellent service and advice!!! I think I'll start a blog to let you all know how I get on. BTW, thanks to all for your other input. I appreciate it immensely. /\/\artyn

Hi, not a cyclist......
Hi Nick, Unfortunately, I have "forgotten" how to ride a two wheeler, due to the health issue (I know, "it's like riding a bike, you never forget", but I have!). So thanks for the offer, but it has to be a trike, even a sit up and beg. I wouldn't want to crash one of your machine on a trial. Whereabouts are you? Are you a dealer? Could you get a trike in? /\/\

Hi, not a cyclist......
Hi GaRRy, Good Spot! I'm already watching it thanks! (aren't saved searches wonderful ) Have messaged the seller to see if he thinks it would suit my needs. I know these ICE trikes are top of the range so I expect it to go for more than the reserve, despite the mileage! Thanks again for drawing my attention to it. /\/\

Hi, not a cyclist......
Hi John, Ideal for where I used to live in South Stoke! Unfortunately, miles away from my current haunts of Portsmouth, which makes a trial difficult! Maybe I can find one in stock a bit closer to me. Thanks for the info. /\/\
