It has arrived my last Haibike was 2015 Trekking and now 2021 not yet ridden as I need to work out the Nyon . pedals took a while and was thinking I had threaded left side but after some red wine it all worked out added my beloved Brooks saddle (still to adjust) and got the very patient and professional e-bikeshop to add different tyres (now Schwalbe Marathon Plus) and the gizzmo under seat. The others were Continental something with tubes that were swapped with Marathon ones ans slime tubes. Going cheap in New Year if anybody interested. so now I have the lovely 2015 Haibike trekking (brilliant condition except for either clickbox or hub messing me about in high gear - although two cycle shops said Nothing wrong) and the 2015 KTM Macina dual HS (lovely bike) in garage collecting spiders. Ah well… First adventure to look forward to on Boxing Day…

Thanks - was told mount same but that they would prewire it all for simple transfer from Intuvia to Nyon? ie nothing for me to do??

Just found out my bike has arrived (whoope) after 8+ Months waiting but just told the Nyon I had added is out of stock and they will send later. Bugger. At least I will have more time to find out how to use it. Not yet had time still.. so Intuvia for now it seems. What are differences between the set-up / cabling for Nyon v Intuvia? Bike shop will set up electrics so I just replace Intuvia with Nyon as it seems the holder thing the same? Anything I should be aware of?

Thank you - am awaiting my Trekking 9 with the upgraded Nyon. Absolutely hate reading manuals / instructions (do too much of that at work I guess) so any hints appreciated although need basics first. Should really have checked stuff before upgrading but online shopping basket additiona too tempting at the time. basics - what does it do - if anything - if without a phone? Or phone with no signal? Is it removeable? You know of useful protector for when I fall off / weather protector? Charge phone or same old Intuvia will it / won’t it debate? GPS only via phone? if you have time to add some more details would appreciate it. thanks

Bought my 2015 Haibike from Martin / E-Bikeshop and he used to be on this forum a lot I recall at that time until getting blasted by competitors or interested parties about the Dongle. Martin spent hours emailing responses to all my questions (and I ask sooo many questions unfortunately). Fast forward to spring / summer 2021 and I’m back to e-bikeshop (based on previous satisfied customer mode) and looking for a new Haibike Trekking…. Bit disappointed and wary initially as Martin did not respond directly as in the past but the business progressed / grown since then so there are other staff who responded. I have had similar experience to 2015 and with patient and detailed email responses (npot many businesses would bother) as I ask additional questions, tweak and add bits and bobs. So - here’s hoping all goes well with packaging and arrival - but as others have mentioned there are rules anyhow. I do understand their view about providing parts to existing customers. They were doing that even before the Covid ‘rush’ I think and make it obvious on their website. Just my side… (for now! )

Have you ordered a new e-bike Recently?- when did you order and when arrived / arriving. Waiting list? Coping? Ordered myself a Haibike Trekking 9 at start of May and hoping it will be on track for arriving December. So over 6 months wait - am being patient honestly but hoping it won’t be a frozen winter so I can cycle to work on it. My old Haibike became too unreliable (click box or hub issue who knows) .

But back to original question - any other opinions or suggestions on alternatives to sram ddr3? Or whether the 2015 version different to 2015? Are all sram ddr3 hubs the same?

I dream on…. Got to balance whether to pay to fix this Haibike when I have new one arriving in a few months. If I don’t sort it the bike is of no use at all vs fix it and have a spare….

Nealh - thanks so much. Very useful. I am just awaiting the bike shop to confirm this is the issue and will pass on the information to them. I will email sjs and ask if there is a difference between the 2014 one and the 2015 they advertise - so theirs must be refurbished one if it is an exchange? V much appreciate your assistance. Will add more when I know more. Long wait until December for new Haibike but at least I still have the old KTM Macina although it is so much lezz zippy than the Haibike. maybe a Rohloff would fit

So seems my Haibike Trekking Xduro 2014 needs new rear hub BUT SRAM discontinued it. The ones I see for sale are either used (condition unknown) or from Aliexpress - any of the few on the market in the UK are on ebay and possibly also from aliexpress? so - does anybody know of genuine one for sale or even Plan B with some other mechanism that will do the job?? thanks
