  1. iZip CB26; do I need to lubricate motor? How often? Is there an online guide?
  2. There are only two wires going into the motor, so I guess that means 24v motor not brushless. Is it possible to find a Lithium battery to match the bike?
  3. 24v - - two 12v batteries inside box Motor brushless? How do you tell? Bike Motor pic
  4. I took the battery off the bike (well, my son did LOL) It has two big 12v batteries in it. I cannot tell if the motor is brushless or not. See pic. Bike Motor
  5. I have no idea. How can I tell?
  6. Here is a pic of the bike. http://www.gardens-guide.com/bike.jpg
  7. I have an Izip bike now with lead-acid batteries "cb26" type. 1. Is it possible to upgrade to a Lithium battery? I have to charge my bike overnight, every night now. The lead-acid batteries less than a year old. 2. I have prostate cancer with complications, and pedalling is quite painful. I need a throttle or a button so that I don't need to pedal (I just stand up the whole time). This bike has a throttle but my tennis elbow is bad now. Is there a way to replace the twist-throttle with a simple button?
  8. I have just gotten this bike THT Trade 2013 New Model Mountain Electric E Bike If anyone is considering it, I can recommend it, and can help with questions and/or assembly advice. Cheers William
  9. Thanks, but don't misunderstand. The bike is great, with some minor exceptions, just the assembly could have been much smoother. The handle bars can be made higher with an extension, and the charging cables are fine after some fiddling and a bit of black electrical tape to make the fit more secure. I now have a security-penta bolt setup for the bike seat stem cinch, and for the front-axle. With one turn of the key, I can easily rotate the seat to slide the battery out without having to change the height - not bad at all. The bike itself is well built, but heavy, but not unmanageable. I would not like to have to carry it far, though! As it was, I was overbudget by £100 anyway, so this bike represents excellent value for me. My old knees are good most of the time, but the assist keeps them that way, and is very important if I have a bad day. I do recommend this bike; if anyone gets one I would be happy to advise on assembly etc. William
