  1. So it still works on throttle? I would get it out and look it over. What harm can you do, and it could be nothing
  2. I'm trying to build something a bit lighter than my 500w (s12s) bpm builds, which are a bit much for twisty trails. I have a Chinese 26" rim and spokes for a Q128 so that would be an easy option, but really fancy a Q100 sized motor. I would like to see 18mph from 36v. I have a s12s spare but a s06s sized controller box and the idea I could swap fets about to see 20A for a Q100H. So if you have a 100h and a s06s that would save me a thread. I could then part with my Q128 spokes and s12s.
  3. The latest wave of built for purpose bikes, are putting the battery weight in the downtube, where it's low and well centered for balance and agility. It's worth knowing if the pack can be taken apart with a screwdriver at the end of it's life, so you can employ someone to fit new cells. Most packs are some sort of plastic clam shell design with fastenings that allow it to be opened. Where you find 18650 cells. If it's glued shut, and the market moves on with a different design, your buggered. I have seen sellers that offer future rebuilds for their customers, with whatever cells are best at that time. Should the battery go out of production, such a service could be a real save
  4. Motors gone to the man above folks.
  5. Yes, the covers are imperfect. It's solid, but not new build kit unless your working to a £100 budget. I have a 12s from bestech power and a 12s smart but they are new items, there is no cabling. Both have dimensions to suit bricks. The smart is 50mmx120mm iirc, and the bestech 50mm x 60mm and two boards high.
  6. The box has been used in a couple of builds. I'm not sure I would use it on another new build though, it's more of a garage spare now. The bike part has a couple of small cracks and it has tyre rub damage. Its nice that is has the battery meter fitted but it's getting a little past it. I just offered it to complete a cheap first build for somebody. If you just want the battery bit, that's fine, but they are not all the same. You could gut it to fill another one though with minor soldering skills. It's 12s though not 36v so you may want a charger... I don't know your actual goal.
  7. I mistakenly laced this 24v motor into a 26" rim with a 15A controller at 12s. It doesn't like to pull away, so 100 miles later I'm going to sell it. At 36v in a 20" wheel you will get 20mph. It had an odd plug so that had to come off and the wires lengthened. It's not a swollen mess of tape though. I can probably supply the KU65 controller and LED, some e-brake pulls or a hidden. A throttle and perhaps even the frog battery box with 12s bms wired to take 3 5ah lipo bricks (~£70 from hobbyking) so it could be a full kit minus pas sensor and LiPo. £70 with charger? Offers on the motor. £35+Postage would be nice. I need a rear motor for 26" like the 100H, to build it again with an LCD this time. Oh.. the frog box has a power meter built in, with Ah used and the like displayed. I will put up pics of the extras if anyone is interested, but my phone (camera) is out of action till Wednesday or so. The motor is clean. Stickers intact. Even the paper ones. 100 miles is very little dust. It may even be closer to 50 miles. I built it for a friend who just doesn't cycle. Too snobby.. so it really is very new. Newark, Nottinghamshire
  8. I was of the understanding that a voltage mode pas would work. They don't need a dedicated pas input, as they wire across the throttle. That is how they are described on eBay. I'm not sure if this type of pas would give a voltage related to crank speed, or simply output a constant dc voltage if movement is detected. Either way seems to have it's limitations.
  9. Did Dave get lost? The 25.5km/h is an EU limit. It's likely your bike can reach the speeds you can, If it can be unlocked. Often just a white wire that needs unplugging. I can't see what your bike is though. It could likely manage 35km/h with 48v and new controller, but again, I don't see what motor it is.
  10. Thank you for your 999 service Shemozzle. I also saw them and wrote to the seller for the 3mm one's. It seems all the 3mm one's are banana's though. I think I will go ahead and chop the plug off. Thank you for your speedy response though. I was holding off till I heard back. Richard
  11. Hello. Did you source these in the UK ? I'm having a lot of bother finding 3mm females. I found just a few banana's being called bullets. I have not even started with the 0.8mm one's yet. I use a few international forums, and it seems the Americans call banana's bullets. Which is really fudging my search results. The difference being, of course, that a bullet is a hard male part, and the female gives a bit to accommodate it. While banana's are generally longer, and it is the male part that has some give in it. So what I found would be a sloppy fit. Thank you for any help you may offer, and for your work so far.
  12. Sorry about the long delay Mike. Shortly after me reading the spec on bmsb it was pulled. It has taken till now to find it again. Though this seller says 75kg. http://www.evassemble.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=158
  13. cwah didn't actually buy a motor, so the rim and spokes are available if anyone wants them. Presuming they fit of course. You just never know till they are in. If there is any interest please drop me a pm.
  14. These are not available now. I'm going to saw 17mm off each end and use it. Thank you. (I would of edited my post, but no option.. So had to bump)
  15. A barely on topic for sale add follows: I have just popped in to offer some. I think I would rather use the donor bikes rim, than the bmsb rims I got last year, and the spokes I ordered about 3 weeks ago. Most important thing here is I can't guarantee 210mm was the correct spoke length to order. They are not here yet. But a tenner sounds like a nice round number. Plus P&P with whoever you choose. Obviously cwah comes first, then the offers open to anyone on the thread. The parts seemed a little to niche for a general 'for sale' add. Like other rims and spokes I have... It's just clutter really. Though I might have to use this stuff if I can't fund more spokes from the sale
