  1. maybe I didn't put it right. There are 50 cells altogether, in 10 strings. 2 dud strings = 10 cells.
  2. It is. I'm getting 0v on all ten of the cells.
  3. No loose wires.
  4. Thanks. I thought that might be the case Hopefully it is just loose wires as you suggested. A job for tomorrow night. Will keep you posted.
  5. There are 9 pins on the adjacent connector Readings are as follows: - 4.0 8.3 12.5 16.7 16.7 21.0 25.2 29.4 29.4
  6. Red 1: 33.2v Red 2: 33.2v Black 1: 33.7v Black 2: 33.7v
  7. Yes I did, and still zero. Apologies, charge mosfet? What does that mean, and is that it for my battery?
  8. 41.6v The charge socket did show zero. I followed the wires from the socket (two red & two black) back to a terminal on the BMS (see below). There were no fuses between the socket and the BMS. I tested the voltages between all combinations of the pins the red and black wires went to and again, zero. Photo
  9. The charger went red for a while, but has now returned to green. I'll leave it overnight and then do as you suggest
  10. What if the charger is already green?
  11. OK, I'll stick it on charge again. How long do you suggest I leave it for?
  12. It's fluctuating between 33.4 & 33.5
  13. I charged it before I posted this thread. Do you mean differently?
  14. No, it surprised me too. Not 100% sure where you wanted me to short the switch so exposed the terminals on the switch and stuck a small bolt between them. Still no reading on the output. P.S. USB socket provides power but battery indicator light on side of case shows 1 of 4 LEDs.
  15. Photo 3 Photo 4 Yes, and on all the time.
  16. Photo 1 Photo 2 d8veh, if you need any different angles or close ups let me know
  17. The centre of the button is recessed in the on position and returns to flush with the outer ring in the off position
  18. Imported from China
  19. So, my ebike won't turn on as it's getting no power. My battery, which is of this type (below), appears (I will admit to not being an expert here) to have a problem with the on/off switch in that it illuminates for a few milliseconds as the button is depressed, but doesn't stay on. There is also no voltage reading at the power terminal. http://g04.s.alicdn.com/kf/HTB1MFV6FVXXXXXGXXXXq6xXFXXXK/221513156/HTB1MFV6FVXXXXXGXXXXq6xXFXXXK.jpg Any suggestions as to what I should do next to determine where the problem is as my electrical knowledge is poor at best?
  20. You did put Thursday though, so have another one on me.
  21. With the proliferation of USB sockets on bottle batteries these days, can anyone recommend any lights that could be hooked up using the USB socket?
