  2. Ive read the specs of Bosch gen 1 somewhere in German forums stating that it would not exede 7A contious. Either way ive been testing Samsung 35e and Sanyo 3500 and Panasonic 2900ma cells on this very system on different recelled batteries. and If you are looking for cost effective upgrade of your battery i would suggest going for new cells (endless sphere have nice offers 3 pounds per cell) and putting 3500ma cells into your old battery. then You would end up with new 500wh classic battery in under 100 quids Wysłane z mojego SM-G900F przy użyciu Tapatalka
  3. but i have send me your Chinese battery ill exchange the cells and send it back to you and charge you only for the new cells (100 - 120 Euro)
  4. no joke i thought about it - but to make it longer and still looking good i would have to re weld the lock on the frame - and this is something im not ready for (it would break my heart to taint the paintjob)
  5. once you have the cells its a matter of carefully removal of bms, exchange of cells, spot welding and getting battery back together. more or less one hour and you jump from 2200ma or 2600 ma to 3500ma per cell. the difference is astonishing in distance covered. I have the original powerpack 400 and daily 18 km to the office - traveling on sport mode i take more than half of the battery (3 diode indicator) . with recelled Chinese replacement i loose only 1 diode at the same distance.
  6. well the most important thing is to get newest cells for reasonable price - there are guys on Endless Sphere that sell you the cells from Bosh factory that didn't weld properly and were thrown out. Given the numbers of thrown out brand new cells - no wonder new 500 wh battery costs 700 euro.
  7. All classic group is DIY friendly - bateries are easily upgraded, motor parts are interchangeable, i just love it. With recent LG and Sanyo cells 3500ma you can keep your bike up to date and along the more expensive recent models. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160221/6870ce9abe0665670fb5521321487d3c.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160221/0d97ac090d49722705df379589949cbc.jpg
  8. That's why i love my Bosch Classic line. It's so DIY friendly, one can recell old battery in under an hour - with unused cells for just around 100 euro. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160221/2bd573a0506bb27ef72d63ce1df68e89.jpg

  10. Derestrict if You didn't do it yet and Love it. Beautiful bike.
  11. Im driving Haibike Xduro 2013 and frame 56cm is a bit to big for my 181 cm. Had to compensate with seat moved to the front. Then yet again my second Xduro is 48cm and its to small so I had to move the seat maximum to the back. Knowing Haibike frames, i would suggest 54 cm for your 188cm, then played with the seat after some test rides. below is some data about angles of hard seven. from polish testers.
  12. well, classic + has some issues (as the bike looks 2013/2014) you can expect clicking noise caused by lack of grease between "springwave shaped brass gasket", bearing and chainring side of engine lid. The second issue relates to wrong type of grease used by Bosch to lubricate shaft locks. If it suddenly stops clicking and pedals go on free spin as there is no chain - shaft locks should be cleaned and relubricated with some fine oil. All these issues are quite easy to deal with but require taking of the chainring and the engine lid from the chainring side.
  13. When weather improves ill discharge batteries and test charging times.
  14. Well im bit surprised but 3 chargers are working fine too. Generator is stable no rpm drop and no overload signal.
  15. Done testing overload issue - 1.started the generator (Honda EX7) 2. connected charger nr 1 and there was tiny drop in rpm sound 3. connected charger nr 2 - no change in rpm 4. Both chargers are working, generator is stable and no overload signal is presented. I would say Honda EX7 is one of the smallest and quiet gens on the market 12kg and 83db Next ill see what happens if 3rd charger is connected.
  16. I tried to research this subject 1 year ago and ended up with small honda eu10 generator (83db) as an answer to long ebike run. Until recently I didn't have to much time to play with it but Today ill put it to the test and check if its capable of charging 2 Bosch 400 powerpacks at the same time (with 2 chargers).
  17. Chinese Batteries are mark 1 for Bosch Classic system - If we talk about Nduro we should look for Bosch mark 2.
  18. Very interesting service opened in Italy Aside from their major speed tuning for Bosch engine, now they offer recell service. Turning old bosch batteries into 600wh / 17A behemoths. http://www.speedup.altervista.org From my private mailing - the total cost should be around 600 euro.
  19. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/09/15/34290c816d8d9b8852561ea69476b871.jpg Just started to test it. Initially it looks (quality of plastic casing) very similar to Bosch. Provides same range and behaves thermally prety much the same as genuine 288wh.
  20. Wow someone is charging 378 EUR for this battery on eBay .
  21. Hi all. I ll try to bring these http://www.gd-battery.com/products_show-240.html to Europe with some help of battery importer. Unfortunately Chinese won't sell smaller quantity than 10 pcs. I should get the quotation in few days. Then I'll test all batteries with my haibike xduro 2012 set. Its possible that chineese replacements might be more flexible for future recelling.
