  1. Thanks for your suggestion, Slow coach, but I want a traditional crossbar bike. I'm going to my local bike shop tomorrow to look at a Batribike Nova X.
  2. Thanks everyone for your input.
  3. Thanks for the suggestion but I'm 61 and don't want to look like I'm down with the kids. Plus its past my budget; I'm sure there is one out there with a 20" frame.
  4. Thanks guys, but I don't want a folding bike.
  5. Thanks for your advice guys. I've just this minute sold my Cube SL Road bike, because I don't want to convert it and bike shops won't touch conversions. So it's a case of buying an e-bike. I'm going to my local shop tomorrow to get their advice and try out what they have.
  6. I'm looking to buy another bike. Which would be suitable for my 27 inch inside leg? The last one I bought was a Kalkhoff Pro connect in 2013, it was not pleasant, due to its weight and size. I don't want a step through though. Any opinions, my budget is about £1500?
  7. Thanks for your advice guys; I think I'll trade it in, with the shop I bought it from.
  8. I've got a 2017 Cube SL Road bike and would like to convert it to an e-bike. I've phoned local bike shops but none of them will do it, due to insurance and warranty. Are there any e-bike converters in the Liverpool area?
  9. Thanks Tom. I have to laugh when you're sitting at lights and when they change, drivers expect you to dawdle off. The only thing you have to be careful of is the drivers who are turning left, they think they can go left before you can go straight on. I had one driver sound his horn because I had the cheek to stop him turning left. Phil
  10. Hello I have a Kalkhoff Pro Connect Xion X24 bike for sale. I bought it in November 2013, since then I have rode about 50 miles on it. The bike is as new, with no apparent scratches. Here is a link to 50 Cycles web page: http://www.50cycles.com/product/613526000 I did intend to commute to work, but circumstances dictated other wise. It has been stored in the shed and the battery has been kept in the house. Here is a picture of the bike, it does not come with the accessories as they have been sold. http://i405.photobucket.com/albums/pp140/filsgreen/a37034a7-dc46-426f-9520-524b3d69d98a_zps4306c948.jpg?t=1404555997 It is reasonably priced at £995, thank you for reading. Phil
  11. Thanks for your advice DP
  12. Hi guys I'm using my Xion 24 after it being sat idle for about a year to ride to work. I tried to start the bike today and the battery would not register on the handlebar display, there was a triangle with an exclamation mark in it. I've tried taking off the battery and replacing it and also taking the controller of the handle bar, to mo avail. I contacted 50 cycles technical dept. this afternoon and the chap said that somebody would ring back but no one did. Has anybody had any experience of the motor and battery not playing ball? Any information/advice would be appreciated. Thanks Phil
  13. Could I ask the Mods to delete my posts on this thread please? The bike is no longer for sale. I would do it myself, but there is no edit button.
  14. Thanks for the clarification john. Yes my feet do just about touch the ground hence the basic stem, which 50 cycles provided. Phil
  15. Hi John It is the 50 cm version and looking on Evans cycle guide, it states that a 55 cm is the ideal size for bad poet. However, why would they provide a bike stem where the suspension alone adds an additional three inches to the height of the bike? Phil
  16. Here is the link to a picture on 50 cycles website with the seat post provided. http://www.50cycles.com/product/613526000 Phil
  17. I thought that it would fit a six foot person. As you can see from the photo; I have the seat practically sitting on the cross bar due to my 27 inch inside leg. The handle bars are also at their lowest setting. 50 cycles gave me another seat post, as the one that came with the bike left my feet 3 inches off the ground, and that was at its lowest setting. The Concept L adjustable seat post would easily accommodate a person with 33 inch inside leg. However, it is down to personal choice and preference, so I did not comment until I read John and Rob's opinions. Phil
  18. Thanks for looking anyway bad poet.
  19. Still available bad poet, I think it's a 19" frame. I'm 5'5" and it has a static seat post so that my feet can touch the floor, but I still have the a suspension one. Phil
  20. OK, D8ve was right, not much interest at my price, so I'm reducing it to £1200. I don't want it to lose more value, waiting for someone to pay what I think it is worth. Phil
  21. Sorry, this one did not appear. http://i405.photobucket.com/albums/pp140/filsgreen/3bf211fa-ac19-4ea0-9393-7a72b3e47579_zps2ea2d020.jpg?t=1404556869
  22. Thanks for your advice Tom, given that you bought yours for £1449, you and D8ve may be right and I do not want to waste my time or anyone else's, I'm prepared to reduce it by £100 to £1300. At this price though I'm not open to offers as I would rather keep the bike than lose essentially £500 in a period of seven months. Here are a few pictures I took this morning. http://i405.photobucket.com/albums/pp140/filsgreen/a37034a7-dc46-426f-9520-524b3d69d98a_zps4306c948.jpg?t=1404555997
  23. I agree D8ve, but with £100 of accessories I think it's a bargain. As I've said though I am open to offers
  24. Good morning, I have a Kalkhoff Pro Connect Xion X24 bike for sale. I bought it last November, since then I have rode about 30 miles on it. The bike is as you would expect for a 2013 model, with no apparent scratches. I paid £1695 from 50 cycles as it was the shop demo, they assured me it had very little mileage on it. Here is a link to 50 Cycles web page: http://www.50cycles.com/product/613526000 I did intend to commute to work, but circumstance dictated other wise. It had been stored in shed since and gathered dust. The bike comes with a Kryptonite New York Fahgettaboudit Mini Lock worth £72 and Kryptonite Kryptoflex Cable. As well as M Wave Tripper Double Pannier Bags, two Continental inner tubes, two instant puncture repair kits, which are still in their boxes, bike mirror and a rear light. http://www.amazon.co.uk/M-Wave-Tripper-Double-Pannier-Bags/dp/B001J3NH2K/ref=sr_1_27?s=sports&ie=UTF8&qid=1404551770&sr=1-27&keywords=bike bags http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kryptonite-York-Fahgettaboudit-Mini-Lock/dp/B000OZ9VLU/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1404551462&sr=8-2&keywords=new york bike lock http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kryptonite-Kryptoflex-Cable-Lock/dp/B00J4JX2SA/ref=pd_sim_sg_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=1N0WRNYQ0PR8D3NX4W1T ( All web pages are only used for information, no copyright infringement intended) I would like £1300, no offers, I'm based in Liverpool, the bike would have to be collected. Please PM me for further information. Thank you for looking. Phil
