Juicy Classic
Standard 10Ah as I couldn't afford anything more on the cycle scheme. From what I can gather it should give me enough range on low/medium assist I saw the difference between the two sets of lights and I really didn't know what to make of it. I've got a better idea of what's going on now

Juicy Classic
Ah that makes sense then. So I guess it's one of these things where I'll do a test run of my commute and make sure it all goes without a hitch and watch the lights as I go to see if the same occurs on mine as yours I did notice that if I was using the throttle to pull away at junctions the display would knock down a couple of lights so I guess it's a learning curve. Thanks for your help guys

Juicy Classic
It's bought as a commuter horse really haha I test rode all the bikes I could get my hands on and the juicy gave me the smoothest ride and was by far the easiest to ride with the electricity off. So are they both a basic indication of the battery life remaining? I just don't want to get somewhere and only have enough power to get half way home

Juicy Classic
Hi everyone, I finally got my juicy classic through the cycle to work scheme last Thursday. As soon as the certificate was paid for by work juicy bikes had it with me the next day!! I have been riding it every day since then just for 5 miles a time just building myself up and I've got a question about the battery indicators. The one on the handlebars has always stayed with all 4 lights lit but the lights on the battery (when you press the button) went down to just the one red light. I'm really confused what they mean and which one I should go off as the remaining range/charge amount. I would really appreciate any help anyone can give

Woosh Mono
It's the dark blueberry that I want. Suppose I'll just have to wait for this certificate to be sorted now
-
Woosh Mono
Thanks Bob, which is the darker blue? French blue or blueberry?
-
Woosh Mono
Bob, do you have any pics of the different colours that are available? I can't get a clear pic of the different ones on the website

Woosh Mono
Thanks for your reply Bob. I guess I'll wait until everything is approved before looking at colours. I honestly don't think I mind what the color is I personally just think that the snowboard style helmets are fashionably more acceptable.

Woosh Mono
The one I decided on was one of the £20 snowboarding helmets from aldi I had been trying on the skateboardy style ones and just happened upon them. They're great because they're super comfy as well as being safe. Bob, I am somewhat curious about the process from here... I got the quote from you guys, requested the certificate but when I get it do I get in touch with you to iron out the particulars and actually place the order?

Eeeh I'm an excited bunny now. I just had to try on a lot of helmets when out shopping so "Santa" knows which one yo get me

Hi. I live in Newcastle and I've been to the electric bike shops in the area. There is electric cycle centre in Penrith, they sell and rent ebikes out and have a decent range in store. Best to email them first though to see what range they have in at any time. The electric bike shed in south shields has about half a dozen actually in stock at any given time and although they are canny they tried to sell me a bike that they couldn't get in for me to test ride first... make of that what you will. There is team cycles at team valley and although they sell ebikes they don't actually stock them for you to test which is a bummer. That's about it for the local area before you head to Whitby or Scotland. There are of course the likes of Halfords and other regular bike shops which stock ebikes . Welcome to the forum (",)

Woosh Mono
After having a long think and lots of test rides I've started the process of getting an ebike through the cycle to work scheme. I eventually settled on the juicy classic with a throttle added on I'm so excited for the whole thing to start moving now

Woosh Mono
What a shame about the mono. I'll have to have a think then. Thanks for your alternative suggestions, do any of these have throttle as well as pedal assist, other than the zephyr of course?

Woosh Mono
Hi all, The mono is out of stock at present (until 2014 which Ties in nicely with my student loan) but I was wondering if anybody here had any experience with the mono? Either good or bad, as it's a great price for a bike that will easily help me to uni and back. Thanks in advance Rosie

kudos versatile
Thanks to both of you! As I've previously mentioned, I'm a student so have a pretty low budget but I'm hoping that pretty soon the bike would have paid for itself over a £60pm travel pass... Only have a 16-20 mile round trip and I can manage to cycle normally for about 45 mins just pretty slowly so should be enough for me. I'm going to visit the most local ebike shop on Saturday to have a go make sure it's for me but once that's for sure I'll be ordering something or other

Haha ok I take that as a no to the ego?

Does anyone have an honest opinion either way of the Viking ego?

kudos versatile
Awesome. I go to south shields a couple of times a week so I'll defo go! It means I can at least try one to check my legs are up to pedalling Thanks so much!!

Any ideas
Think I've decided I would rather splash out for a new bike with known origins and a warranty. Thanks for your help.
-
kudos versatile
I've been looking at the woosh bikes too but with me being a student my price range is rather limited
-
kudos versatile
I'd love to try them but I'm up north in Tyneside and as far as I can see there aren't many this way. Unless I go to halfords or similar I may not get a chance to try before I buy. Also, with my one highly limited leg I'm not sure if even average input can be expected.

Any ideas
Thanks for that I actually discovered today that the distance to uni in a car is 13 miles... On a bike on the bike paths it is 8 miles. Rather nifty. I want one even more following that revelation

Thank you Bit more info if Mr nice kudos man happens to read this I can only do light pedaling due to a muscle deterioration in one leg. The whole reason I want an e bike is to help keep myself moving. The round trip I fancy doing a couple of times a week is about 17-20 miles. About an hour each way if I can keep up to about 15mph (I think) Thanks

kudos versatile
Hi, I'm wondering if anyone could give me any information about the range on the kudos versatile? I am 5'5" weighing about 10 stones and I wondered, on a flat road about how far this could take me with me pedaling lightly? Thanks .: Kudos Cycles - e-bikes with style :.
