Have you actually tried doing it ? If it is only "pressed" on, I will use a small gear puller. I just didn't like the idea of forcing it over the threads on the larger O.D. spindle.

Thanks for that. The prising the spider off with a big screwdriver makes me shudder !

Can anyone advise as to how the spider that carries the front chain wheel is attached to the shaft ? I have removed the lock ring, but the spider is firmly attached to the threaded shaft. I can't find a schematic on line. Thanks

Does anyone know what the mini usb port is for ? I plugged it into my Mac, and it did nothing. Is it for charging ?

Robb What size front chain ring have you got fitted. My deristricted Haibike runs out of gearing at about 24 mph, and it's all too easy to get there.

No, I'm sorry, I do have to duck out of this thread. I am not sure if your last post is supposed to be serious, as I genuinely don't understand it. We can't all be on the same wavelength as everyone else, and perhaps you and I are not destined to enjoy coherent exchanges. I won't make light any further, as what starts out as light hearted banter can soon be seen as bullying, if one of those involved isn't "keeping up" and that is clearly happening here.
