  1. Hi Eddie, Here's my thread on this rig: http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=64837 I hasten to add endless sphere is an awkward forum to use compared to this one. Chris.
  2. I've had a few roadie TC abusers over the last year of eBiking. It used to wind me up but I just ignore them now and whiz past. On a downhill stretch or even on the flat with wind assist they pass me so if you give them a serve in the first instance you might cop a return volley later. Over time the roadies will get used to eBikes and contain their irrational resentment. In my dreams however I pull alongside, produce a large wet herring out of the pannier and smack them in their ugly chops.
  3. Roger that; 5P10S Li-ion 2.9Ah Panasonic NCR18650PF 18650 cells = Lithium Nickel Manganese Cobalt Oxide. The marketing bumph calls them Lithium Ion.
  4. Hi prb, 60km (37miles) is about it for the 10AHr pack. That's on max pedal assist. The PAS (pedal assist sensor) is fitted and works perfectly rain or shine. FYI I upgraded to a BBS01 | 250w | 14.5AHr Panasonic LiFe and get around 80km now and top-out comfortably with a 46x12 top gear combo at around 37kmh on the flat, no wind assist. Chris
  5. Hi Rich, How is the bike going? What sort of battery, top-speed, range? Any problems? I've got similar on order.
  6. I've had my Dillenger 250w 10AHr front hub for 2000 miles now since Feb commuting to work and back and it's pretty much bullet-proof in all conditions except snow. I live in Tasmania at sea level. The PAS failed too but they sent a new one gratis and that was 600 miles ago. Battery performance is still strong (42v off the charger). If I had to upgrade anything I'd get a 14.5AHr battery from BMS or EM3EV.
  7. It's having trouble with Youtube and Vimeo URLs. I'm unfamiliar with XenForo (this forum's software) but I'm guessing a module hasn't been "enabled" to allow videos.
  8. What it says on the tin; inserting images, inserting links, editing and re-editing, email notification, it's all a delight to use. Well done Pedelecs.
  9. Hi Geebee, Not mine, swiped off CycleZee's site. Mine is more like this. See photo. It's a great bike. My only reservation is how I can't push it beyond 35km without enormous retardation...it might be the speed limiter kicking in. I was following a very serious looking MTB pilot on the way home tonight and he was pulling some slightly "ambitious" moves to escape me...although TBH I was hanging back 20m and come the time when I was about to comfortably lose him I couldn't. On the roadie w/o a motor I would have been past in a flash...knackered for the effort but still past his flailing limbs and stern demeanour. Anyone know how to remove the speed limiter? Beats me what make and model it is though. The controller is at the base of the battery bottle and is 250w 36v 10AHr.
  10. Oooh you cunning fox. \ I'm in the same boat as Kramer. Thanks for the tip amigafan2003. Speaking of Amigas I've got an A1200 with an '030 board that used to run rings around my PC. Breathless 3D kept me entertained back then and needed the extra grunt.
  11. Hi John, re: torque plates Not I. Good luck with the business, I expect you'll do well in this expanding market, especially with the Bafang mid-drive / bottle battery products : http://www.cyclezee.com/uploads/2/8/6/0/2860781/768050_orig.jpg
  12. This forum seems a friendly place to hang out and swap war stories and the utility of the forum software seems impressive so far. About Me Started riding in the UK circa 1972 then emigrated to OZ and continued until Uni where cars and girls took priority. Returned to cycling 10 yrs ago to commute to work. Bikes owned Raleigh Twenty which I tried hard to make cool with a metallic green re-spray and Weinmann centre-pulls but it still sucked the life out of me thence to custom roadies one of which had a Shimano 600 groupset I brought back from Camden Cycles in 1984. Bike got ridden for three weeks then nicked. Latest steeds include lovely aluminium Principia with Ultegra gruppo then I discovered cheap Chinese carbon and I've had 5 or 6 roadies and MTBs based on them. New to pedelecs since 3rd week of Jan. this year and loving it. I knew I would. It makes commuting a hoot. Planning on touring using it and a trailer in the near future. Looking to build a carbon 29er with Bafang BBS02 and keeping it as light as possible.
  13. I've got a carbon MTB commuter with 250w front hub and pedal sensor and twist throttle on the right bar http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=56711 I love the twist throttle because I can leave it in top or second gear and still get away from the lights with instant max power whereas the PAS takes a half second and a few crank revs to register and provide thrust.
